Yeah getting 120M over 4 years, getting increases in attendances, sponsorship etc. Being able to sign better players and if you do get relegated you should be stronger and have a distinct advantage over the rest of the championship teams

But im sure you right its just short term <doh>

That's why some teams owners have spent over £100M trying to buy there way there - I know which way sits best with me <ok>

You lot are very touchy arent you?

You see something you dont like and you have to try and attack people rather then debate it

Just what do you think you know about what transfer fees were involved in these signings? You know as much as I do and that is very little. It took nearly 12 months for us fans to find out that the club had been paying all the wages of the players we had on loan last season.

Sorry but all the talk on here about FFP regulations is pure speculation on your part. Because of our previous owner the FL have insisted on checking all of our transfer procedures, and they have said that everything is in order. So why do you think you know better.

Look at the stats for promoted teams. Whilst it is true that they get all that money, the established EPL teams get more. Promoted teams will always find it very difficult to compete. What a season or two in the EPL should do is reduce the financial risks when the team is relegated, but this doesn't seem to have stopped quite a few teams from ending up in League One.

I'm not wumming. I'm trying to look at promotion objectively and away from the hype.

Before Watford go celebrating thinking they have got around the system. I would wait until the Football League have their say, because basically Watford have stuck 2 fingers up to the football league

Anyway what happened to the Watford fans, they was a decent lot and now they think there Real Madrid and there better then everyone.

Just like we failed we Sven and the cash, you failed with all your dodgy loans

Like Wolves did and prior to that the likes of Portsmouth, Birmingham, Blackburn, Burnley, Coventry City, Swindon Town, Sheffield United, Sheffield Weds, Leeds, Blackpool, Charlton, Middlesboro, Oldham, Ipswich, Forest and Bradford did - oh and Leicester?

That depends on how rich the owners are, take Southampton for example, they spent 7M on Jay Rodriguez, 12M on Gaston Ramirez and now they just broke their club record signing for the 3rd time in 12 months with Victor Wanyama. So the gains are there for all to see

Take us our owners person wealth has increased from $240M to $1.6B in the space of a year. Should we get to the prem he would get alot of the 100M he has loaned the club back and he could then invest a considerable amount to make sure the club establishes itself in the prem.

Finacially there is no downside to getting to the premiership

And when they got relegated was the Prem as rich as it is now?

Exactly its not so your making piss poor points yet again

And TC how embarrasing when teams like Oldham, Swindon, Blackpool and Bradford can make the prem but the might lions cant

    You call that debate?

We haven't got around the system, we have done everything within the rules. The FL are checking our transfers, so how are we sticking two fingers up? Quote me one instance where we have said we think we are Real Madrid.

I don't mind debate, but I left the 6th Form a long time ago. The 'debate' on here is just you repeating 'its not fair'. Grow up.

and you call Proud 'thick as pig ****'.

Most of those teams havn't played in the PL in 10-15 years. Those teams didn't get anything like the amount of money teams get now.

Wolves and Blackburn have been poorly managed, but they still get a **** load in parachute payments.

I would agree with you up to a point. If the owners of the club are sensible and have the best interests of the club at heart, then you are correct. If they are stupid, ego driven or corrupt then there is a big problem. It would appear that our previous owner was fleecing our club unbeknown to the other directors. If we had got promoted with him in charge he would have made a lot more money and we would have gone out of business.

If your owners are genuine and will keep you in the Premier League then I wish you well. There seem to be precious few owners like that, these days.

That is the most stupid thing you have ever posted Proud!!
Have you seen the Premier League Accounts for last season?
The combined income of all the Premiership teams was £2.4bn yet collectively they made a combined loss of £205m.

The 2 exceptions were Norwich and Swansea who are the only teams that are not in debt!!

Feel free to join us in the 21st century. The whole ****ing world is in debt. It doesnt mean times stops

Man City still have money coming out their arse, Man U are still one of the biggest sports teams in the world, the Premiership still manages to negotiate a bigger TV deal every year, you still keep making piss poor points and still no one decent wants to join Millwall
