Chelsea knocked £24m off the wage bill and signed Schurrle and Van Ginkel for that money. Van Ginkel, Schurrle and Schwarzer combined will be on under £150k a week. Chelsea weren't prepared to shell out the £100m for Cavani so in actuality we have probably only spent £10m so far this summer and probably not even touched money from the TV deal.
That is a result of winning so much, and always will be, many love to see them fail because they succeeded so much
With Bielsa they could still crash and burn, but like I said they would be unreal to watch if he was in charge.
It's more to do with the diving, cheating and tapping up of players from clubs they deem inferior to their own (I.e everyone bar Bayern and Real).
That is so shortsighted. Cheating goes on every week in the PL, every week. Diving cheating fouling playacting. I am no Barca fan, I couldn't even name their starting 11 atm. Bale got more yellows for diving this season that the whole Barca team has got. Pires from your beloved invincibles invented kicking the keeper and going over. Gerrard likes a dive, Rooney likes a dive, most players playact and pretend to be hurt. the cheating in the PL by all teams is rife. anyways, thats my opinion, and before I get accused of wumming as in the past by some of you I'll leave it at that.
1 word for you DL Cole, oh another word Drogba. There's your cheating and there's your tapping, off the top of my head. Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal Liverpool Spurs and United players do not cheat and those clubs do not unsettle other clubs players? Nah, not true mate
Kind of says more about your disposition towards Barca than anything about Barca m8. Too strong a word, super competitive players in a cut throat sport looking for any advantage to win, not a shock to me that they'll try con the ref. The PL is full of so called cheats
No, i was referring to the club in general. Not just the players. I loathe the entire Barca ethos. Getting public funding, despite the Spanish economy being in the crapper, using bankloans to sign players, and not repaying the loans, the whole "more than a club" mantra. It's just ridiculous
"We can assure you that we won't listen to any offers for Cesc. It is not an option. Cesc is non-transferable," - Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartome.
Manchester United have made an improved offer of £30 million plus add ons for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
