I think that the Mail is now asking questions instead of pushing lies. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rd-sign-players-despite-transfer-embargo.html
It's not a loophole. Maybe it doesn't seem fair to other teams, but I'm sorry there is very little difference with billionaire owners (spirit of the game? No) and running up unsustainable debts (fair and in the spirit of the game? No and no). In all honesty I am way more comfortable with this model that the other two. And if the youth are good enough they will get their chances. When you see the final squad list you will see a number of young British players, but last season, IMHO, young Murray was simply not good enough, however already this season it looks like he is at least going to fight for a place. So the attitude of Zola and the foreign contingent has rubbed off and that can only be good. COYH
If they had bothered to read the original decision then they wouldn't be writing crap like this. If the so called journo bothered to read his own article he would see that it says: A stipulation in the sanction stated they were able to sign players with permission of the Football League. The press is a joke with the DM the biggest joke of the lot.
People talk about the spirit of the game - well this is football NOT golf. There are a total lack of morals and sportsmanship all over the place.
Maybe, but what stupid questions! What on earth has "Yet they have now made almost twice as many signings since the transfer window opened than their nearest rivals Wigan, who have brought in five new recruits since July 1" got to do with anything? And "This latest splurge in the transfer market from a club supposedly under a transfer embargo will surely bemuse their promotion rivals." Do they really think that , now Hollowhead has gone, others are unable to grasp what they themselves plainly can't? At least they think that we are promotion contenders...
You know what Foxy Jim - instead of coming on here to moan about our latest purchases (incidentally watch out for more to come) you should be worrying about whose gonna take a penalty for you next season - ha ha ha
This get used to it people its what happens when you start to become successful ,its called jealousy and envy , why let a few little facts spoil a good rant
There are quite a few of us who know a good rant - thankfully our board also know a good player when they see one - which is why Knockhaert doesn't play for us!
Blimey reading the forms generally it seems the Leicester ones are the main bitter fans. Most of the others have a bit of a rant or two mostly about the fact they thought we had a transfer embargo but move on.
The media hasn't helped - if they say it's a transfer embargo then you can't really blame people for believing it even if it's worng.
