Whilst we're still fretting about Hooper and others, the article below on Leroy Fer's qualities and style of play makes a good read: http://pickourteam.com/premierleagu...eira-rijkaard-comparisons-inspire-fer/837551?
Re: The Scottish Player - I have always thought he would end up at CR and think that his reaction to QPR reaffirms that position. Like everyone else though this needs sorting quickly now but the blame surely lies with Celtic who have been holding out for more money. Perhaps we should just up our bid and get him to talk personal terms and end the saga once and for all.
Why don't we have a day where we don't discuss GH , Luciano Becchio scored his maiden goal for the club this morning (BST), and Josh Murphy had a good game: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...norwich_city_s_opening_usa_tour_win_1_2286526 If the signing of GH happens cool, but in the meantime there's lots of other stuff to talk about!
re: macbeth, sorry, hooper just read this snippet on twitter - summed qpr's position up nicely "Gary Hooper is like a desperate fella circling the nightclub at last orders and #QPR is the dog waiting in the corner!"
Throughout last season we always had 4 strikers available for PL duty. But IMO that was without question 1 too many. I am comfortable with our current duo of RvW and Becchio, but I wouldn't be averse to 1 more, primarily as insurance against injury to one of those two. However, rather than a fourth striker I'd prefer an attacking midfielder able to play up front if required. Both Toivonen and Quagliarella would have fitted that bill IMO. We've had various suggestions for the third striker should current known targets not materialise; what suggestions do we have for the AM/"in the hole" player I would like to see?
Deadline Day ‏@DeadlineDay Papiss Cisse is on his way out of Newcastle. Host of European clubs interested in the Senegalese forward. #NUFC
Been a lot in the press about him not being happy with the sponsor for religious reasons. I think it may be he just wants a move.
I have to admit I think he is a special talent as far as football goes, he can certainly unlock the door and be creative when he is in the mood and his attitude is right. It's all the other rubbish that goes with it though that spoils him.
