The Premier league is not all it is hyped up to by Sky, BBC, BT et al...............it is a case of the Emperor's new clothes, they are feeding us all this tat about it being the best league etc etc, well this year it has been found out. The biggest players turning down deals to go to Germany, France, Spain.........in fact anywhere other than the Premiership . It is only us who think "who would not want to play in the Premiership rather than Turkey" as we have been brainwashed by the people who need our money, from the clubs with their ludicrous ticket prices to Sky and their ever spiralling fees. The powers who run this game need to wake up and smell the coffee because you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time - that applies equally to players and fans. The top players are now smelling the coffee and not coming to the Premiership..........this could be just the start.
Disagree Hans - The only clubs for the most part outside of the premier league that players want to play for are the Champions League ones - Cabral had offers from CL clubs and turned them down to join us. Giaccherini is another one. It's the best league outside of the top teams to watch and I think that's more the tag line than it being "technically" the best league - it's the most watched football league worldwide - I went to Prague - English & Czech football everywhere. I went to the Dominican Republic - Only English football. Majorca - English and Spanish football, Portugal - English, Portuguese and Spanish. It's watched everywhere on the continent and outside. Very few players would want to move to a club outside of European places in any league other than ours
