A lot of older United fans used to watch City when they were at home, still rivals though (just as an FYI, City haven't always been a title challenging club, they've also had the odd fallow period and spells in lower leagues). The QPR/Chelsea thing seems to be a bit like the Chelsea obsession with United despite being 200 miles apart? Obviously Chelsea are the QPR in that "rivalry"!
To be fair, I don't mind some fans of other clubs rivals or not coming on here if they're looking for sensible debate or event the odd bit of banter. It's the WUMs that I can't be bothered with and would rather stayed away. In the case of someone like Drogs, I don't see him being a WUM or flooding our board with posts or thread, I just see him taking part is some of the threads and debates we have on here. Other people likev Hoddle Is a God in the Transfer Thread are just WUM's he's trying to claim that he's having a sensible discussion but even the suggestion that United are becoming a feeder club for Spurs because we lost Fryers to them is ridiculous and he's just on a wind up mission. People like Drogs are fine and there's no reason to try to stop them having discussion on other teams boards, I remeber discussing Liverpools recent progress commercially on the Liverpool board a while ago and there no WUMing and everything was being discussed and debated, there wee're other threads on the Liverpool board with United fans who were on the wind up though just as their are Liverpool fans that come on here to WUM, a sensible debate with someone whoever they support is fine WUM's are not, it's as simple as that.
Hoddle is a God like anyone else who believes that Utd cause SAF has retired will become a 'feeder' club like Spurs (interestingly) are prats. SAF was a legend but Utd are bigger and will attract players regardless of whoever is the manager.
So how can UTD take him IF French Arse had 1st dibs, or is it if he wants to go to UTD, its **** on Arse?
The likely clause is that Arsenal have first refusal, all that means is that if Barcelona accept a bid from United then Arsenal have the automatic option to match Uniteds bid and should Fabregas be interested in moving back to Arsenal then they will be allowed to speak to Fabregas first. Fabregas still has to choose Arsenal over United and agree to thier deal, for all this talk about Arsenal being able to pay Rooney's wages I don't think they would offer as much per week as United would. There's still a long way to go if anything is to come out of out Fabregas bid though.
Think its pretty clear he wants to come to United otherwise a second bid wouldnt of been made and its starting to look like it might have been accepted.
Edward Woodward has flown around the world just for this deal. I think its beyond hopeful now. Its actually happening.
Obviously as with any transfer nothing is certain until a player is signed but theres no way Woodward would fly across the world unless it was likely he would get his man. Moyes also naming Fabregas speaks volumes. Pep did it with Thiago and Mourinho with Rooney ( who Chelsea believe they will get as Mourinho alway gets his man ).
Funnily enough my mates just got back from 2 weeks in Spain and is complaining its too hot in England
I doubt this is going to happen, Barcelona have just come out and said the player is not for sale. Add to the fact that he himself has said he doesn't want to leave, unless the club want him to go, then I can't see how this is going to work. Perhaps the target for Woodward is Bale and we're being sold a dummy.
Woodwards in talks now with Barcelona/Fabregas. David Moyes confirmed it just after 6am. http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour2013/T...-manchester-united-bid-for-cesc-fabregas.aspx
