Just seen on SSN that Swansea's Garry Monk, if he is captain next season, is going to match what our great former captain did. Seem's he'll have captained Swansea in every division from bottom to top. Hope bloggers and article writers amongst you will get reminding people that Ash did this - the SSN report didn't even make mention to him. It needs recording that Ash did it first.

Awesome achievement - by both of them, congrats to Gary Monk if this is the case, I honestly thought no-one else would ever do it in the modern game. Ash did it first though. And I bet Monk won't captain them to Premier League survival.
It was the manner in which Ash did it that makes it so special, fans wrote him off every promotion saying he was'nt good enough for the next level. Doctors wrote him off when they said he had a degenerative bone disease and he was'nt the most gifted of football players talent wise. However he stuck with it, worked hard, did it on pure guts really and led us out against Fulham on a prem league debut and we won that game. Ash is a shining example to youngsters today cos he showed what can be done with the right spirit and hard work.
Actually it won't match Ashbee's achievement. Ash captained and scored for the club in all four divisions something which is unique to Ashbee
