According to Sky, Blackpool, Ipswich and Charlton are interested.... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11714/8830082?
Really hope he can find the form that he had 2/3 years ago. When he was on it, he was one of the most exciting players that i have seen in a city shirt
Hope he manages to kick-start his Career again. He looked very promising and just seemed to fade off unfortunately. I'm thinking back to when Nigel Pearson offered £1.5M for him back when Barmby took charge. Would snap their hands off now.
how does that offer look now? I knew he wasn't worth that then, but now you'd have to pay us 1.5m to take him.
He can still play in the premier league if he really knuckles down and gets down to business. He's got all the attributes, speed and ball skills, just not the head. Maybe it's something he can develop over time...
Oh man I love his dancing. Interesting fact for you...Will Smith is now older than Uncle Phil was in the show. That sucks when you think about it.
I'd still rather us loan him than flog him, as we wont get anything for him and we all know how good he could be. Unfortunately, I suspect Bruce doesn't and will just be happy to get rid, disappointing really.
Yep. Same match where Simpson scored a cracking back header from about 12 yards And he made mincemeat out of Leicester's defence when he returned... He has likely not impressed Bruce on the training ground, as well as in his few matches he played, so we should not be that surprised. How many matches did he play last season?
We can't be keeping players on what they could do, it's what they can do, if he does well at the next club then good luck to him, but I think if his minds not on it then there's really no point in him being around. It might prove a bit of business to add a sell on clause, just on the off chance even if he goes for nothing.
Look lads, he's played like 6 games where he's done anything of note. He's 22 now and, from what you lot say and i've seen, he doesn't look bothered and will quite happily sulk on the wing if he gets tackled on his first dribble. He doesn't look good enough to me.
7, 2 in the league, including sub apps that is. On that basis should we never sign a young player with bags of potential because they aren't yet good enough?
Not at all, my point is he's doing nothing right now, just taking up space on the wage bill. When I wrote 'could do', it was referring to those that still think he could make it in the PL on his last performances. If anyone really believed he could be that player that showed all that potential just a few years ago, we wouldn't be thinking of him leaving to the teams mentioned above.
I think Stewart is history with us, but someone might well pick up a bargain, if the kid gets over his injury and remembers how he used to play, he could be a class act again.
He did it once and he can do it again, he even looked that player at times after the injury so it showed he has it in him. He's never going to play here though so he'll never achieve it here, it's in neither our or his favour to keep him on here for years to see if he does become the player he could, he needs to move on for his own sake and as he's nowhere near the standard of our team and never going to play, there's no point having him on our books no matter how small his wages are and having our coaches using up their time on him when there's better things they could be doing to help us now. He's still young enough to develop a lot and grow into a great player.
