In the minority as usual I think the new away kit is totally yuk quite like the home one its growing on me !, Would have preferred a black and white striped away top (would have been a brilliant piss take to all that called us udinese B)Think we missed a trick there
Interesting News here. http://www.estadionazari.com/el-gra...watford-en-inglaterra-el-proximo-27-de-julio/
For those in need of the voice of Jon Marks, there will be commentary on the Hornet Player of the game at Stevenage.
IF THIS SEASON DOESN'T START SOON I'M GOING TO GO STARK STARING MAD! Phew! Sorry about that everyone I think I'm alright now.........
Anya has signed a 3yr deal and Reece Brown has signed a 2yr deal. Plus the 8 players announced last week have been granted clearance by the FA &FL! Happy days! http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130722-anya-and-brown-934902.aspx
Our goalie is not fit still. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10566431.Almunia_among_Watford_absentees/ We really need to get another one in who is prepared to spend time on the bench but be capable if required.
Squad numbers released http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...news/10572105.Watford_squad_numbers_released/
He didn't go on the preseason tour, along the likes of Jenkins and Dickinson, so think they already knew they wouldn't stay
Sorry SK, haven't seen this until now and I Had opened another thread about it. Also, in the news, Zola 'knew they were coming.' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23451403
The U21 team (including a few over age players gaining fitness) defeated Stoke U-21 3-2 this afternoon. Bernard Mensah got the first half way through the first half and Britt Assombalonga added the second shortly before HT. There were wholesale changes for the second half, with many of the over age player leaving the field and being replaced by scholars. This meant that Stoke had more possession and came out fighting and after about 25mins they were level at 2-2. However, first year pro Luke O'Nein was to have the last word as he calmly rounded the Stoke keeper and slotyed home the winner. It was a delight to see the joy on his face as he wheeled away in celebration and embraced his teammates. The over age players (or players with pro deals) and mins played were as follows Almunia- 45 Brown- 45 Smith- 90 Murray- 45 Battocchio- 45 Thompson- 90 Geijo- 45 Assombalonga- 45 Ikpeazu-90 All of the above, with the exception of Brown looked good, and imo would make good squad players and be pretty handy off the bench.
A full game for Thompson, but no squad number. Wonder what the future holds for him - was quite impressed by him when he 'broke through'.
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/417988/Watford-manager-Gianfranco-Zola-s-foreign-policy A pleasant change from the usual media Watford-bashing tripe - simply reporting Zola's point of view, albeit without comment.
I see that our under 15s got off to a good start in the Milk Cup. I believe that Dejon Noel Williams who is playing is the son of Gifton. Good to see that dad thinks he will get some proper training at the club.
Tommie Hoban ‏@tommiehoban05 Had a nice week in turkey last week! Ankle feeling a bit better too! Still gotta lot of hard work to go and can't say exactly when I will......be back but things are definitely looking up now! I would say around 6 weeks, hopefully less but can't be sure yet!
Another win. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10580537.Watford_youngsters_win_again_in_Milk_Cup/?ref=rss
Official #watfordfc ‏@watfordfcsays #watfordfc striker Britt Assombalonga has joined Peterborough United for an Undisclosed fee. Best of luck to Britt in his future career. I am surprised at this. Have heard rumours of a move to Posh but thought it would have been just a loan. Maybe they thought he would never make that step up - especially if we are in the Prem within the next few seasons. Good luck Britt!
