So on what basis are United bigger than Barca if its not on some criteria like Euro Cup wins?

United have never been able to attract the best players in the world, Barca and Real do regularly. Must be something in that. Most of United's biggest signings are essentially them bullying smaller P.L teams. Rio, Rooney, Carrick, Berbatoff.

Buying the best players doesnt make the best teams, I would of thought people had cottoned onto that by now seeing as United an to some extent, Barcelona have been showing that for some time.

There isnt much in it btw, United and Barcelona are very close in terms of who is bigger. Many would of put AC Milan and Bayern above Barcelona not long ago though while United would of remained behind Madrid. Disagree if you like but it wont change anything.

Because hes not exactly rubbish. He did very well at Everton considering the limitations he had. Hes also started off pretty well and not fallen for the media bllshit which is very much like Fergie.

The biggest thing though is that Fergie recommended him. The guys served United well for decades and if he feels Moyes is the right man, no fan can complain. If it doesnt work out well it doesnt work out. We wont be doing a Liverpool any time soon

 

I suspect I am going to have to hold back later in the summer as not to anger some of the more grown up fans on here.

In the 80's nobody would have predicted Liverpool's fall from grace

 

I think it's naive to assume that because he punched above his weight at Everton, he'll do the same at Utd. The expectations at Utd are massive and the margins for success are that much tighter. At Everton a top 6 finish was considered to be an achievement, at Utd he be expected to be challenging for the title and if Utd start to slip, he will be under intense scrutiny.
