Erm because its the metro and strangely enough I cant as yet find anything in MD, Barcelonas mouth piece.

Just find it strange he would be talking to them.

Jamie Sanderson is reliable. Known contacts within the club and Wenger and Cesc very are close despite the whole transfer saga. Nothing much else to be said really.

I'm sure RVP said the same things lol. And i bet its more likely Arsenal will get 50% of a profit made

    Ok, maybe.

Its still the metro though. I know full well if the quotes said otherwise you would laugh your arses off at them because as I have stated, its the ****ing Metro.

the Citizen is as reliable <ok>

I don't think he was talking directly to the Metro UIR, they are his quotes though, otherwise the Metro would have to say 'it is understood that Fabregas said he wanted to play for many more years at Barca' etc.

You can't use a direct quote unless the person has actually said it.

So, 50% sell on fee disputed by you and confirmed
Arsenal having first refusal disputed and confirmed
Fabregas saying he doesn't want to go to Utd disputed and confirmed.

What will it take ? Cesc to come round your house, give you a slap and tell you in person ?
    <laugh>

Not just the Metro though, as I said, Jamie Sanderson is well informed and reliable. <ok>
About the RVP thing... well let's look at the facts shall we? Why did he move? Trophies? Money? Both?
What about Fabregas? Why would he go to Mancheater United? For trophies? Hardly. Money? If he wanted to, I think he would have done it already. Real Madrid offers a far more lucrative offer than Manchester United. Cesc Fabregas took a pay cut to move to Spain. RVP doubled his wages. There's the difference. One at the end of their career without much hope (admittedly) of winning a trophy outside of forcing a transfer but choosing to screw the club for a bigger payout. The other wanting a move abroad to play for one of the best teams in the world with the best players in the world. So no, the RVP and Cesc sagas are not the same.

Well where are the quotes from? I mean who did cesc speak too as its not the Barcelona press ( who would of made it credible ) and the Metro seem to be the only UK press so far reporting it.

Also which clause did he confirm, I thought it was a buy back option ( first refusal ). Was it the 50% thing? Your saying both, can on,y find the buy back one.

And loads use direct quotes which are made up. Loads.

he may of said it, I am not denying that. All I am saying is the metro are hardly believable.

We are all prone to believing or disbelieving the media dependant on whether we want to believe or disbelieve the story

Cesc still has contact with Arsenal. Jamie Sanderson is a well-informed and respected journalist. It seems likely that they chatted at some stage and Cesc made his feelings known. Cesc and Wenger and also in contact.

Daily Mirror and about 20 news outlets reported it. He said it as the press conference broke up after the second friendly. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...hester-united-transfers-cesc-fabregas-2060233. There doesn't seem to be any doubt he said it, even your own United sites are quibbling about the semantics of it http://www.thebusbybabe.com/manches...-transfer-rumours-arsene-wenger-cesc-fabregas.

This is all rather silly of you, and quite frankly idiotic of your club. To be chasing an unattainable target so publicly is very amateurish. Our club, board and manager get a lot of stick for their transfer antics, but this is worse than anything they have got up to.

I actually think that they are not after Fabregas at all, but are in Spain for Alex Song.

Of course it has happened. But why would Cesc make a statement and for no apparent reason suddenly retract it and decide to sign for an inferior team? The quote is a month old. Also you haven't answered my question as to why you think he would choose to go to Mancheater United over staying at Barcelona. I've listed the options.

Don't blame you sticking to your guns btw - not good when your star manager leaves and the clowns from the circus take over, I'd be in denial too.

    Loads of reasons why,

Chance to become a major player at a major club. Not sure if you have noticed but United dont have the best midfield. Its got its good parts but a player like Cesc could become more than just a member of a team here at United. Pretty sure that thought would interest him, even if its just a little. Imagine being the guy to replace Paul Scholes, a legend, the player that xavi and zidane admire.

He also might want a Premier League winners medal like his pal Robin. I know for a fact these two are very close indeed. How close?

United are showing they want him.

United are Manchester United, the biggest club in England and a bigger club than Barcelona* ( if you knew football before a few years ago you would know this is the case ).

    * Not really a reason for cesc as such as hes a barcelona lad.
