He's out injured. Risky business, especially as in recent times we signed both Aqualani and Carroll while they were injured. £12m is a good bid and is about what he's worth I'd say, he's a great prospect but like I said, when you have a player recovering from a long-term injury you have to tread very fine.

as long as there is a bid... if rodgers chooses to bid for papadopolous on a big risk and bernard rather than eriksen and alderwerield I'm happy... For me eriksen is top drawer and different to bernard as we have coutinho.... i would perfer papa (fit) to alderweirld as we do have toure. all in all if we actually bid and get bernard and papa for 35mil and could have paid 20 odd for the ajax pair more fool us but at least is a strong choice and signal. carroll was a strong signal too mind... risky risky....
