Spot on Goaty, although his supporters will never see or admit it Totally agree with every word of that. Nail firmly hit on the head.. the part I would agree with in PD post was that which i posted ages ago. He should be the support strkier to our front with 2 holding midfielders behind him & 2 pacey wingers. Totally agree with that & when he was given the No. 10 shirt I (wrongly) assumed that was what were going to see. Alas it dint work out & I fully understand that without him it will be a lot harder to get back up. But I'll repeat what i said some time ago. We have to learn to play as a TEAM..NOT 1 superstar with 10 supporting acts. It means we will have to change our style and probably have less flair. But if we are to survive "next time" get promoted. we need to be a team of 11 players. Building a team around 1 player dont work in the Prem, as we found out to our cost As for the manager bit, He's had 3 managers and 2 seasons. i can see the constant so why cant others.? I agree the rest of the team were crap as well but thats because we had buuilt the team around him and none of them were used to playing the way reuired in the prem. I'll openly admit that Adel has given us some wonderfull moments, albeit mainly in the NPC but I think he let us & more importantly, himself down in the Prem. I think the whole think is probably beyond repair now and there is to much gone on for his personality to forgive and forget. imnot pointing the finger at any one person AND maybe for Adel this will be a good thing. Maybe he will want to go somewhere else and show us just how good he can be and ram it back down our throats. I wish he would, but to be honest i'm not going to hold my breath. So from me to him its a "Thank You for everything, You will always be remebered" Goodbye and good luck in your new ventures
We will never know about building a team around Adel in the premiership because it was never done that was possibly the problem NW ****ed up his winning team ... The team and format stormed in our promotion and before you knew it we had Barton Game over after that I would of given the Adel game plan at least a decent go yet it never happened because of the off field crap and soon enough everyone was looking at Adel as under performing and he got the blame It's the English way ... Absolutely clueless
Yeah good points DT and I agree with you. It was never really given a good go but that probably because no other team in the Prem does it. It just does work in any top league. There are a few notable exceptions like Liverpool and gerrard & Barca with messi, but lok at the quality of the players they have around them...Boz v david silva, Hill V Carragher, raheem sterling v Toilett !!! I guess Nw gambled on new players that T&C got and it backfired spectacularly. Maybe we should have stuck with the orig team that got us up but to be honest, I personally don't think they would have survived, although the like of Derry, Ali, Hill and co performed well when needed. It was never going to be enough. Adel couldn't score for toffee and goals ronm the likes of Cisse etc kept us up in the end I suppose. in reality we didn't even do that and relied on another team losing! We were woefull for 2 season and I really don't think anyone can any diffent. It wasn't JUST adel, but he did play his part in it mate !
Thought i would up a few stats suggest any doubters about do the same ... 81% pass completion etc etc ..... he carries an average of 7.3 overall rating for last season and guess was our highest ranking player with 7.4? .... Ryan Nelson No I don't know how they work it all out and it maybe all be bollocks but QPR look like they are losing forever both these players now ... that is worrying
My memories far from perfect and I haven't been off to check, but apart from his goals versus Liverpool and Stoke (which was majorly important, of course), I can't remember too many Cisse strikes which actually contributed towards points/wins; his goals against Man City and Bolton as efforts that didn't spring to mind. So when you actually compare that with Adel's goal against Arsenal and his winner against Spurs, the idea that Cisse's goals saved us is bit if a fallacy. Adel probably needs to get with the program a little more but the idea of getting rid of him doesn't make much sense to me. Certainly the delight of some fans in his perhaps imminent departure is completely incomprehensible to me.
Mate, lets get this straight. There is no "Delight" in getting rid of Adel what se ever. My personal opinion is that he "could be" an amazing player and if he "could" get his head sorted out he would play for a team far better than us. My issue is & always has been that he is to inconsistant, thinks he is better than he actually is & does not have the mental ability to handle life in the Premier league. I have never doubted his ability or skill in any post in the last couple of seasons & I challenge anyone to prove me wrong on that.! No forgetting every other excuse he's been afforded, bad players, bad team mates, mis management, to hot , to cold, blah blah blah. he has had more than enough chances, managers and opportunities to prove all of his doubters wrong. the facts are he hasnt cut it. the is a list of premiership players miles long that do not have his skill or ability, but have put in consistant effective performances for an entire season at the top level. So whilst he was pandered to in the NPC, he was found out in the Prem. He could have been a great player, but i fear his head and lack of desire will ultimately prove just that...He'll be a "could of" or "almost" player...never a "was or is" player. Colins masterstoke of building a team around him in the NPC was also his biggest mistake. Look where it got us? So your assesment of fans delight is completely wrong and misguided. Maybe you should read the posts the us "haters" put up about him, instead of making your own incorrect assumptions.
