After this initial test case, it is understood that they will also now attempt to block access to other sites streaming live matches from foreign channels into the UK. Full Press Release from The Premier League: 16 July 2013 The Premier League today secured a judgment in the High Court requiring the six main UK-based Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block access to one of the biggest illegal live football-streaming sites in the UK. The High Court ruled that First Row Sports was acting jointly with third party streaming services to communicate to the public live footage of Premier League matches in breach of the Premier Leagueâs copyright. Section 97A of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 has been used previously by the music and film industries to secure protection from illegal streaming sites, such as Pirate Bay, but this is the first time that a sporting body has sought an order blocking a site that infringes its copyright. It is also the first time that an order has been granted against a website that facilitates access to other illegal streaming sites. A Premier League spokesman said: âWe are extremely pleased that the order blocking this website has been granted and we will be enforcing it, in conjunction with the ISPs, ahead of the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League season. âIt is absolutely imperative that content industries are afforded protection under the law if they are to continue investing in the sort of quality talent and facilities that has made them successful and of interest in the first place. âThe judgment recognises the parasitic nature of the enterprise; this was an out and out commercial operation with estimated revenues of up to £10 million a year, whilst giving nothing back to the sport. âThe content industries are playing an increasingly significant role in the UK economy, so it is pleasing to see that the courts recognise this and prevent continued abuses of copyright.â Mr Justice Arnold also made clear that any publicans using First Row Sports to screen Premier League matches in their premises are communicating copyright works to the public, which would put them in breach of Section 20 of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988. A Premier League spokesman added: âPublicans should know that the only broadcasters entitled to show live Premier League matches in the UK as of the coming season are BSkyB and BT Vision. âMr Justice Arnoldâs comments serve to add further clarity to this point. âThe Premier League will be significantly upping its enforcement activity in this area in the coming months, so any publican who is being offered a service that is not either BSkyB or BT Vision should be aware that these are illegal and they open themselves up to the possibility of prosecution.â Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/archives/002439.html#ixzz2ZKcg1jZe
Good luck with that, bet you we have a link on here for every away game Might get more people through the gates at home
Idiots, do they not realise how easy it is to just use a proxy server so its like your viewing the site from somewhere else in the world. This is like when the music industry tried to stop Napster etc... They stopped Napster but that did not stop 100 other companies popping up and offering music downloads. The result was cheap music available online. The same will happen with football within 10 years you will be able to access official streams at high quality very cheaply. I-Soccer here we come......
I don't see why they block the 'non-Sky' games. Surely they'd be better advised to make these games available and increase advertising revenues, with an easily applied regional block to prevent clubs losing fans for home games?
I would be gutted if i couldn't watch the lads games over here, unfortunately due to commitments i cant get over to watch more than 6 times a season
which site do you use for downloading music mate, i used to love limewire, never bother now coz i cant be arsed with torrents

Any music that I don't get sent via legitimate promo I buy from Juno or Traxsource mate. I have a lot of friends who produce, and as such it would be wholly wrong for me to 'steal' it. I don't really have an issue with people downloading free music to to listen in the house, but I feel as I earn from it, it's just wrong for me not to pay for it, if that makes sense?
I see that pov and agree, i'm meaning when the kids want the latest 1d or jessie j song or something they hear on the radio, buggered if i'm paying for it on i-tunes
Yeah, I understand that, and far be it from me to preach mate. I've worked with DJ's though mate, now, if you rip music from the web it usually will carry an ID tag, put that through a CDJ and the screen will have some gibberish or the name of the site you raped it from. This, as much as the sync button on the laptop software that ****ing ****bagged talentless ****s who think they are a DJ and offer to play for £20 a night to get a gig, is responsible for the number of **** DJ's out there. A 12-year old kid DLing from a site to listen to on an iPod is a whole lot less of an issue.
I also buy all my music legit because I am a professional DJ and producer. Same as Paolo's Pecs really. I get sent a lot of the stuff I play. I tend to use Amazon for my own use as I find their stuff is the best quality. I use Last FM to find new music and try before I buy. You can also download from blogs by typing .blogspot into google but that is illegal. My point is now music is much cheaper than it used to be and football will go the same way.
Vinyl only here marra, oh aye there is some dross out there mate, putting the beats together but the tunes dont go, divvent get me started! Grrr! I mean somewhere to download popsongs to make a new cd for the car for my girls I tried bearshare but it was full of viruses
I love Juno mate as rather than a snippet, you can hear a whole track, I understand of course that you are multi-genre. Another top thing about Juno is it's very scattered, so you hunt more, and as such find stuff you'd miss elsewhere. Traxsource do provide a fantastically user friendly service as well, and they give you lots of lovely discounts the more you spend, legitimate rewards.
Spotify. It's fantastic, could do with adding on more early 90s dance music and not just the chart stuff. Apart from that I love it. I've got it on my Sonos system at home ( if you haven't got Sonos and you love music, get it) and its in my car as well, I love Spotify.
Sounds good to me mate I am going to have to check them out. I have been DJ'ing using CD's for years now on the good old CDJ's, my brother is trying to persuade me to use Serato but I am not sure I trust a laptop and MP3's.
www.traxsource.com has a really extensive 'classics' section mate, and it is constantly added to, often remastered too
