I was listening to Noel Hunt yapping and I wasn't focused on the match when the goal went in...sorry Jonny...that happens a lot at matches, because I'm usually half pissed...
Thats a strange statement. I would say every team is always depending on a fair game otherwise it makes winning very improbable
That's a strange response. The point is win emphatically so that the result does not depend on the referee getting every call or non-call perfect. We don't live in a perfect world.
Oh my friend WJ, you stilll have so much to learn.... I wrote "We don't live in a perfect world." It is the rest of you that screws it up!
You can't always win emphatically. It'd be nice in pre-season to do that but especally in the league you can't expect to do that and so you do kinda depend on a fair game and expect the ref to get most calls right and hopefully the big ones cheeky ****er
Like most Leeds fans, I have an expectation that we will win every game 3-0. If the team played for that, barring outright corruption, the odd referee error should not cost us games. We could, of course, get beaten by a better team on the day and the ref performance makes no difference whatsoever. You know it's true - as WJ stated "US media output keeps telling us how perfect the US is!"
