My 14 year old son is Celtic daft and he asked me the other day 'what makes us different' I tired to sum it up by saying 'Being a Celtic fan is a way of life not just following a football team - our history and our fans are unique'. How would other tims answer this question?

    Nothing...

We are just like any other football fan following their club....Just better looking.

It's probably your ingrained sense of victimhood that marks you out from everyone else.

Certainly the culture of an immigrant community in a minority against an often hostile local population would have mad us more close knit. The club developed to be the focal point of the community within Scotland (rather than Church thank god).

I don't feel like a victim nor do thousands of Celtic fans. The 'victimhood' tag is conveniently applied to Celtic fans by those who are resistant to change and have benefitted by out-dated and incompetent adminstration from the SFA etc..

    :emoticon-0148-yes:

Two minutes spent on Follow Follow and you'll see who really consider themselves the 'victims'.

"Why can't we sing songs about ****ing taigs?"
"The Government are kafflic-lovers and hate us white protestants!"
"The whole thing with that taig **** Lennon is nonsense and it's made up by Peter Lawwell and John Reid to make people feel sorry for him."

You might think I'm exaggerating for effect. Trust me, I'm not.

You have tails, monobrows and an inflated sense of self-worth.

Nobody gives a **** about Rangers or Celtic anywhere but Scotland and a wee part of Ireland.
