Basil: W.T.F. Nobody is ruining anyone, Hamilton is driving in F1 for McLaren because he is simply the best and sucessfully progressed through their programme, as you put it, at his very own choice with full backing of his family. There are no sinister undertones, simply a uniquely talented human being exhibiting his skills, Hamilton operates at a level much above that of most F1 drivers and does not comprehend or appreciate their lack of expertise. Monaco and his move on Maldonaldo being a prime example, Hamilton fully and rightly expected Maldonaldo to see him coming and to aviod contact as he could so easily have done.
Well, it can be read several ways; not least by just skipping the ampersand… Then again, there is a deep link between 'the Max' even there!
Cosi, a world without M&S, never in my time, where will I buy my pants and socks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a load of old bollocks is all i can say to that, they're racing, not coming to a stop at a junction and deciding who has right of way. Hamilton, despite cutting a huge bit of the corner, still wasn't side by side when they hit
Sorry Jacky, You are right on one aspect 'it's a very tight circuit' therefore all drivers must expect 'tight' overtaking, some say it's impossible to overtake but obviously Hamilton thinks differently and he rightly expects others to be aware of whats going on around them, Maldonaldo was not up to the job.
Straying slightly off-topic again, MK-ULTRA was huge, I don't think the full scale of the project will ever be known as a lot of files "disappeared". I believe other goals included things like Truth-Serum's, drugs to make people act in illogical ways, drugs to make alcohol more/less effective, knockout pills, drugs to make people work less efficiently, and various other things. Basically, if you've ever read 1984, its the sort of things that would make that scenario a possibility.
so yur definition of racing is if someone launches a stupid overtake manuevure from too far back you're supposed to just let them drive passed because it's Lewis Hamilton? We had the same sort of bullshit excuses for Hamilton last season when he stupidly hit Massa at Monza & Webber the following race, ridiculous attempts that his fans tried to blame on Massa and Webber. Lewis 'crash kid' Hamilton.
And to go even further off-topic, why do the American authorities deliberately create situations that can only lead to conspiracy theories, like destroying all the MK-ULTRA files, or throwing Osama's body in the sea? Is it so that all the discussion is about the conspiracy theories instead of how illegal the things they do are?
Maldonaldo was not up to the job? What was his job? To jump out of the way so Hamilton could easily get passed? Maldonaldo had every right to defend, it is the driver who is trying to overtake repsponsibilty to make sure the overtake is safe and is possible. To say that Maldonaldo should of got out of the way just because Hamilton was trying to overtake him is a bit silly.
Lewis should of expected a rookie to make an obvious rookie mistake unlike Schumacher who saw it coming. If you look at some of the pictures comparing both overtakes, Maldonado was further away from the wall then schumi, further infront than Schumi, breaked sooner than schumi and turned in sooner than him. Lewis was also coming in tighter (by centimeters) when up against Pastor, 70/30 to Lewis IMO when I keep looking at it. Maldonado should of had his eyes open on him while young Lewis should of been less aggressive and just tried again, it wasn't like he couldn't do it against a Williams was it?
Saw the same move being done on somebody while being a race Marshal, and he wasn't to best pleased that he got clipped when some guy was coming on the inside of him. Lot's of F's and C's....Saying there was no chance he could of pulled it off. We all laughed and kept quiet since the race stewards got involved. Nobody wants to be around old men moaning for hours...
