Or making an example of him. Making an example of the most talented player at the club!

For me of course most know i think he is very special. I don't think teh issue here is that it divides us as a board ... I respect others views ... what is making the difference is Harold because I sit firmly in the camp that he is directly at fault with the mis management of Adel Taarabt. I offer that a supercharged motivated Taarabt would put fear into any side facing us.

Some how People and posters on here eat what comes out of Harold as if it was sugar ... to me it tastes like ****e.

This situation is clear to me about two egos and I will never swap my loyal support for Taarabt ... this is based on articles/quots I have read over the years in France where things are said and interpreted differently ... it not better or worse but its different. Adel won't ever act in the way the English want him to. Harold to me represent everything that is stagnant about English football. Harold courts the media and has only just started using us instead of them when talking about our club.

Harold's ego is his problem ... he is right to be strong of course but sorry he hasn't got it anymore as you know i feel he is the dinosaur of British football management so far i am being proven correct on this ... not that this is important but our club and the football we play is to me.

“The public is wonderfully tolerant. It forgives everything except genius.” Oscar Wilde

Average Rangers fan certainly is guilty of this. Once we lose Adel and we will, I’ll always hold a grudge against the average mug who populates the R block who have inexhaustible patience for Hill aimlessly hoofing the ball to SWP’s head, Derry having yet another center mid leave him for dead, even back when Dexter Blackstock hit it in to the upper loft again only to be applauded. But Adel doesn’t make the simple pass and tries a nut meg or a through ball that doesn’t come off. Groans come down from the crowd and abuse from the fat old ****ers who sit near me.

Adel is a one off. If he worked hard he would be playing for a top 4 team but that’s not his character. He is a flawed character and we have been lucky to have him. He needed to be handled properly and that hasn’t happened. A character like his has particularly suffered with all the instability we have had post promotion.

I would put him back behind a lone striker with 2 holding midfielders behind him supported by pacey wingers who also work hard. Warnocks biggest mistake was changing this in the prem and not following our league winning system.

Instead the course is set for us to go 4-4-2 work really hard and back to the tedium of grinding out results hoping to scrape a chance and score a set piece.

We wont see another Adel for 20 years and that is really sad. But with the pathological addiction to try hard no talent players that Rangers fans have there was always a good chance it was going to end in tears with Adel at this club.

Adel does care for this club. Anyone who regularly goes to games regularly and has more than 2 brain cells to rub together would know that. First game that springs to mind of many was West Brom away. His actions and body language that day proves he cares.

Short memories, and I thinh that Oscar Wilde quote sums it up really.

Agree with the majority of points made here. Particularly the fact he cares about the club.

I can't speak for anyone on here, but Adel is the most naturally gifted footballer we've had at QPR in recent memory in my opinion. Some of the things he does with the ball are staggering. However, what will always be his downfall is the level of inconsistency and the amount of pressure he puts the rest of the team under when he loses the ball unnecessarily in vital areas of the pitch. If I put myself in the shoes of Clint Hill and you can understand why he and others may occasionally want to throttle him.

It's the inevitable wasted potential which frustrates me the most about Adel, and as good as a player as he is, the team spirit will be affected far too often. We can't go back to building the entire team around him as it just doesn't work anymore. He's not the surprise package he was 3 years ago and the good teams work out how to play against him.

It pains me to say it as I'd miss watching him when he's at his best but I think the time to sell him is now for the benefit of the team going forward.

Nice one PD. Key point being if Adel wasn't flawed he wouldn't ever have been at QPR. Worth cherishing what we have seen, and for me personally the level of excitement and expectation when he gets the ball always peak - unfairly the level of disappointment when things don't come off are proportionate.

Peter Damage you are the boss of me ... wonderfully put and I am so sad that we will lose this talent at our club ... I am rooting for him wherever he ends up and hope he has his day to stand like Cantona in an arrogant pose and say **** you Redknapp I am a king

I must say that I'm guilty of muttering a few swear swords when Adel lingers the ball etc rather than passsing it. However, despite being frustrated and annoyed by Adel very frequently, I think this is an excellent post that hits very near to the mark. We desperately need that spark of creation and as far as I can see Adel is the only one who can provide it. Frustrating? Yes. Flawed? Definitely, but I'd rather see Adel stay than leave.

    That's a great post Dammo

For me adel is the heir to marsh & Bowles

He's the essence of what we aspire to albeit he's a flawed genius

I'd take him 100 times over Scott Parker

You can always find someone who grafts hard but very rarely in the last 20 odd years at the rangers have I seem a talent like Adel

Some great posts on this page today.

It would be an utter shame to see Adel leave, as I believe he could return to his previous form next season, if properly managed. Looks like he will be off sadly. As to who replaces him, absolutely no idea.
