I will get it and take it with me. I like to take a recommended book with me, particularly if it is one I wouldn't normally choose. It takes me away from the handful of trashy crime thriller authors I normally love to read for the ease of doing so. Edit: Ordered book.
I understand the use of the argument of "it's only a joke", but really they should've seen this coming. It'll have been seen as an abuse of trust in a business relationship worth big sums of money. Surely if you were going to do something like this you'd put the shirt in at the end of work, take pictures for yourself and move on. Not film your colleague and have your own voice posted onto the biggest video-sharing website in the world, whilst you are still on duty at the site. Calling the customer "scum" too? Very silly. Predictable.
Feel sorry for them on one level, but what could you expect...you don't show your employer public disrespect. Also the element of concern that the rest of their work is substandard. They won't be out of work for long...they will just have moved on to another job.
As they were doing the last bits that covered up the shirt, I hope they took note of the sponsors name. It will come in handy for them now.
Idiots. They got what they deserved. If anyone thinks they were hard down by just turn the situation around. Now you are the employer and you are placed in that embarrassing position with your carefully built PR of doing things professionally and with quality. Feel like it's a prank now..? I would have felt the same had it been Saints fan builders doing it to a new Portsmouth FC building too.
You would have thought it would have been better to wait a few months then post the video! When the workers are long gone and the training ground finished! Idiots
2 more Skates back on benefits, although if truth were known they probably never signed off, and were working cash in hand. No sympathy at all.
I heard a rumour that Cortese was so angry , he got the company to take down all they had done to prove there were no more buried shirts , got them to re-instate the work then had the shirt burned . Got it from an ex work mate who's son is working at staplewood NOT a an employee of SFC .
I'm not sure I believe that. Have the panels removed, shirt removed, yes. Cortese ordering the burning of their shirt...? Hmmm.
Must admit sounds a little far fetched , but saw the e-mail he saint ( ex work mate ) , so I am just passing on what I saw .
Hadn't considered they might have to take all their work down, but makes sense. I can imagine how angry Cortese was, but perhaps not as angry as the subcontractor was at having to redo the work. He may very well have burnt the shirt...with or without an instruction from Nicola.
Had the shirt burned lol get a grip, do you really think the chairmans care about petty footballing rivalries .
