    Even Luiz plus £10M is a fantastic offer I think. Rooney is a sulking baby at the moment so just get rid.

    I can't see them letting either of them go to be honest. If anything Luiz is even more important to them than Mata is.

    Chelsea release a statement regarding Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

    The statement says: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that yesterday it made a written offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney.

    "Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for avoidance of doubt and contrary to what is apparently being briefed to the press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any players from Chelsea to Manchester United."

    Manchester United are currently in Sydney as part of their pre-season tour.
