Lets be honest as well, those who claim the North is **** have never been up north. If they had they would soon realise the ratio of people to ****s is far lower up in real england. Mata dosnt strike me as a ****, so I am sure he will settle in rather nicely. He'll even have a few Spanish friends living in Manchester as well.
Jose obviously doesn't think so. He's the one who's included Mata plus cash in an opening bid. If he actually valued Mata all that highly, you'd expect the first offer to be a straight swap. Aye, but the value is increased by the fact that Rooney has not (yet) demanded a move or forced the club's hand. Torres forced Liverpool to sell him, the only question was how far Chelsea would go.
Then he wont play and will decline at a rapid rate. i dont think he wants his career to be over just yet.
You're getting your info from the daily mail. Jose said in an interview yesterday Ivanovic, Mata and Luiz would not be sold.
People are much nicer in the north. Too many Londoners are ****ers. It's not their fault, it's the Big City mentality. New Yorkers are the same. ****ers.
When exactly? He's given interviews saying he loves London (and also said that he loves the English culture in general), but I've never seen him say outright he couldn't play in a city he didn't enjoy. You are also assuming that he actually meant what he said, and it wasn't one of those great soundbites to try and sound good to the fans of the club.
Or that he decides he can't stand life in the north of England. That's a very real possibility. I've been to Purley by the way. It's a ****hole.
This thread's quite funny. The Chavs started out on the wind up that they were going to nick one of our players (a player they slagged off for all of last season) and now they're bricking it that they're going to pay us to take their best player!
I don't read the fail, I'm going off the Beeb, Telegraph, Guardian and all the other more reliable news sources which stated the bid as fact, and usually qualify their stories if they are just rumours. As for Jose, if we're thinking about the same interview, he actually said the club didn't need to sell players, not that they wouldn't. He also said the club has three or four players who want to play in the number 10 role, and that he needs to get to know Mata better before he can decide on his future at the club. I don't recall him ever saying Mata would not be sold, and in fact he hinted that something might happen 'naturally' in the market.
I fail to see how we're bricking it by telling you that it would've have been accepted if it were Mata? Just logic.
It was from a rumour fabricated by the Fail. A few weeks ago. Anyways we'll see what Maureen has to say in his presser later on.
It wouldn't have been accepted as United know they can squeeze Chelsea for more. When Roman decides he wants a player he'll pay through the nose for them.
Because United know full well Chelsea are utter ******s in the transfer market. Why wouldnt we take you for a ride. we could probably get £30million plus Mata and a ****ing friendly if we feeling really cocky because you would pay it. You need a striker more than we need to lose Rooney, much much more.
