At the end of the day, Scholes and Steve GBH are both better players than Fat Frank
With Scholes taking top spot, Gibson second then Steve GBH third

I think every liverpool fan will say Gerrard and every UTD fan will say Scholes.

As a Liverpool fan iv always enjoyed Scholesys football, great player and is somebody i respect completely. Top guy.

My Neutral opinion is Gerrard... He has basically been carrying a team for atleast 5 years, I cant see scholes doing aswell in the liverpool team as Gerrard has done....

This is no taking away from Scholes who was defiantley one of the best of his generation, but Gerrard may be classed as the greatest liverpool product ever, considering what he has done...

Gerrard can also defend very well which may not be said about Scholes

That's interesting, cos I was just thinking the same thing about Gerrard in the United team. SAF would never have given him as free a role as Liverpool have done, and he'd have had to fit into the system we play. Given how poorly he has done when forced to fit into a system for England, I don't think he'd have been as good (and definitely not as stand out) at United as he has been at Liverpool. Also, from 2004-2009, I thought Xabi Alonso carried Liverpool much more than Gerrard did, as shown by how badly they slumped when he left.

So, regardless of who you think is best, I think both clubs are happier with the player they got <ok>

In fairness you raise a good point and Gerrard only plays well if he is the focal point of the team, and if you were given the ball all the time its bound to make you look good.... It is actually very hard to call, and infact they are somewhat different players... So in conclusion my answer is I dont know whos better aha

Both brilliant players but think Gerrard has more influence when he's on the pitch hard to seperate them though.I'll just sit on this fence here.
