Hull spent a lot more than us last season. They spent about £7.5m, we only spent about £1.5m. Using the seasons Proud has above, we've spend £16m, Hull have spent £14.7m (but highly unlikely to have finish spending), but in fairness to Hull, they are spending for the Prem - although we could argue Sven did too, he just didn't get us there first!
You think you bought Ritchie De Laet, Matty James, Jamie Vardy, Anthony Knockaert and Chris Wood for £1.5m? That's got to be £6-7m. Even if you believe the nonsense about Proschwichz costing £2.6m, we'd have spent about £6m.
De Laet - 1m James - Came with De Laet Vardy - 1m Knockaert - 1m Wood - 1m (rising to 2m with promotion). 4m.
Under the new owners: Waghorn -2 million Morena - 300k Curtis Davies - ? Kyle Naughton - ? Bruma - ? PVA - ? Yakubu - £1 milion Bamba - 250k Kirkland - 150k 2011/2012 Mills 3.5 million Petiier 750k St Ledger 1.2 million Konchesky 1.5 million Kasper - 1.5 million Beckford - 2.5 million Ben Marshall - 750k Drinkwater - 1 million Morgan - 1 million 2012/2013 James and Delboy 2 million Vardy 1 million TBC Sousa spending - 2.3 million Sven spending - 12.35 million minimum (probably 15 million) Pearson spending - 5.75 million That is a lot of money spend in the last couple of seasons approaching 25 million pounds FML ^ Taken off FoxesTalk before you start having a go. If it's accurate and you add Knockaert and Wood, probably a further £3.5 million, so you'd have exceeded £25 million. On the other hand, we've spent: Simpson - £50k Chester - £300k Stewart - £300k Evans - £250k Mclean - £1m Fryatt - £1.2m Dudgeon - £300k Quinn - £100k Brady - £2m Meyler - £1.5m Prozzy - No point in starting the debate again so we'll say £2.6m Hobbs - £800k Gedo & Fathi - £500k So ours is around £10-11 million (with Proschwitz at the maximum it could be). So you've spent over double what we have and no doubt your wages will have been far higher than ours, especially under Sven but still now as well. Essentially, you've spent far more than us and still couldn't get promoted.
**** me, you need a hobby or something. Nobody is denying that we spent big in the seasons before last. Only that you spend a fair chunk more than us last season and you benefited from that. Comprende?
Given that all I did was type 'Leicester spending' into google and then copy & paste that off FoxesTalk, it hardly took a large chunk of time out of my day. Seems a tad ironic anyway coming from someone with 11,192 posts to his name. No, because I wouldn't say we spent a fair chunk more than you, but oh well. Can agree to disagree, one thing we can agree on, we certainly spent more wisely, hence us being in the Premier League, and Leicester City being in the Championship.
Disagree with that () We signed players like Knockaert, James and Wood last summer. The reason we didn't do as well as you is because we have plenty of overpaid ****e that we couldn't get rid of and replace. Personally think our last summer transfer window couldn't have gone much better in terms of bringing players in though. The reason you're PL and we're fizzy pop is because in the long run you've built your side better than ours. I think that we can agree on.
It doesnt matter how what divison the mighty Hull City are in. Kasper still will never want to sign for you Says it all, a deadbeat club
Far from the only reason, both our far superior manager and your squad simply not being as good as you think it is were major factors. So did Peterborough, and they took 6 off Cardiff, do you think they're better than both us and Cardiff?
De Laet and James came in together on a combined £2m fee according to the papers at the time, Vardy was pretty much confirmed everywhere at £1m, Knockhaert's fee is not actually known, but as it's on wiki at £2.6m and you insist on claiming that for Proschwitz I'm going with that and Wood was £1.25m(£2m with add-ons). That's almost £7m and in reality there was probably very little difference in what we both spent last season(you're not knocking off the players you sold, you sold them all at massive losses).
