Not sure how true this is, but I have heard that you have made an enquiry about Albert Adomah of Bristol City

He's put in a transfer request and it's believed that 2 London clubs are involved at this stage (Fulham and Palace) plus Wigan (who had a 850k bid rejected)

Liverpool may rate him at £5 million publically but a player who is obviously surplus to requirements we should bid a couple of million and see where it gets us, if there's no other interest they may take the money!
Hughes is 32 now and Senderos has an error in him every game, Coates hasn't done it at Liverpool but he came to England highly rated is still only 22 and I agree with Jol's quote that sometimes a club like ours has to take a gamble on good players when they are going through a low patch.

If we got Coates for £3.5 million and sold either Hughes or Senderos for £1.5 million I would take it

Haven't heard that rumor...but we have been linked with another Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed from Evian.

If I remember correctly, we were linked with him a year or two back. What do you think about him? Is he good enough for the Premier League? What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Not Fulham related, but apparently Southampton have cut their losses and sent Vegard Forren back to Molde.

Maybe a good thing we kept our powder dry on that deal in January then!

    Not Fulham related:

"West Brom have been alerted to Tottenham’s *decision to listen to offers for Clint Dempsey.

But Spurs’ valuation and Dempsey’s wage demands could provide a major stumbling block"

Oh, and the same outfit are saying that Joe Kinnear will be signing Darren Bent on Monday. And the Standard are saying the Tom Huddleston is Sunderland bound for £6m, although there is a quibble over wages - he wants £40k per week and they are only prepared to go £35k.

Here we go - the start of the " Fulham will now be linked with any player on the market" syndrome. Well, I hope that's so in this case:

"It is understood that West Ham United, Hull City, Sunderland and Fulham would all welcome Peter Odemwingie into their ranks - joining Crystal Palace in the chase for his services.

I wonder if Huddlestone will wait now due to our new owner! I'm sure he would prefer us over Sunderland due to staying in London and links to Jol. Obviously we wouldn't be able to match the £6 mill that Sunderland have reportedly bid but if Jol really wants him he may have a quiet word telling to wait to see if we have a bit more money available now.

I wouldn't be so sure that we can't match the transfer fee. If, as Cottager says, the sticking point between Huddlestone and Sunderland is wages that may be a bigger obstacle for us though.

Hmmm, a couple of years ago I'd have been quite happy with Odemwingie. After last season - both his decline in form and his transfer-seeking antics - I'm not so sure I want him to sign for us.

Fulham have told Shalke, that Sascha Riether will cost at least £1m more than we paid for him. The German club have
decided not to continue their attempts to lure him away.

"Schalke have failed in their attempts to sign Sascha Riether after refusing to meet Fulham's £2.1m asking price. The Bundesliga side were keen on Riether, who only completed a permanent switch to Fulham at the beginning of July following a successful loan campaign at Craven Cottage.

The 30-year-old won Fulham's player of the year award last term and Martin Jol successfully extended the German's stay in west London.

But Schalke wanted to bring him back to his homeland and sounded Fulham out over a move. However, the Cottagers rejected Schalke's £1.7m bid and the German side are unwilling to match Fulham's £2.1m valuation.

So we were willing to sell Riether for less than a million profit? Absolute bonkers.

Don't believe everything in the media. Talksport don't get it right all the time. I reckon our valuation was nearer £3m.

I'll be honest I'd never been convinced about Huddlestone. However having watched the friendly game the other night I might just have changed my mind. I know it was only one game, we fielded different sides in each half and all that, but it stood out for me that we needed someone that would stand in the middle of the park, receive the ball and pass it to the others running around. In other words we needed a "Huddlestone".

I don't mean, of course, that he would litterally just stand, waiting on the ball. What I'm trying to get at is that in the game, the players seemed to be rushing around trying to get the ball whereas what was needed was someone who could "make the ball do the work".

Will Hughes is the man for me and we might be able to afford him now but realistically I would be happy with Huddlestone! Depending on who Arsenal bring in Aaron Ramsey is another I would like.

I'm torn between going for him or Messi. Oh what the hell, let's have them both!

No. If he's unhappy at being second choice to Van Persie, imagine how he's going to feel when he finds himself behind Berbatov, Ruiz AND Rodallega!
