Reading through the old articles there were lots of different billionaire groups 'interested' and rumoured, but QIA are not amongst them. DIC were the ones who tried to buy us from H&G before the FSG buyout. By all accounts QIA have not shown an interest in buying us.

Would much rather win the PL in 10 years time off our own backs than enter a money cheat and win it next year. Can't stand clubs like City, Chelsea, PSG, Monaco, Malaga and whoever else. He came on as sub for the national side in the Confederations Cup. The crowd went mental over him but that was mostly because he was local to that venue, I think. i can't remember how he played, because I wasn't really taking note at the time. He's another "next big thing".
Like saint said, he's another "next big thing". He looked class when he came on, and in the other matches he played in. He's in the Coutinho/Oscar mould, though I think Bluff knows quite a bit about him. He looks like an exciting player but 20m is steep, but I'm sure the scouts have seen a fair amount of him, still don't see it happening.
He can play centrally or on the wing, and can use both feet. Exciting prospect but I fear lack of CL will hurt us.

Given the choice, I'd have taken the £8m but if he wants to stay and fight then I have no issue with that so long as he's not a first pick like last season.
But he could reunite with Carrol and re-form the dynamic duo. I'm glad he hasn't though, with those two, WHU might be another competitor for us for that 4th CL spot.
