I'm not saying lets hold hands and idolise the prick, lets use him for one more season to get us to where we wanna be - then **** him off!
I really aint convinced he's that bad yet. Yes the bite opened all our eyes to his headless and erratic behavior and after his answers to the questions he was asked, brought into sharp focus the question of have we been blindly supporting a deceitful charlatan but I think we are getting carried away with it all. I haven't followed much of this closed season stuff but can't find any new comments to attribute to him that I can get upset about. Asked initially if he would fancy RM he gave the only answer any footballer would give and then said how much he thought of Liverpool and the fans. Asked about Arsenal he at last used some common and said he was flattered but nothing else and now the press are asking Ivonovic if he has a problem with Suarez being at Chelsea. If he goes we get lots of dosh and move on but I am not getting bothered by it all and would not be surprised to see him next week, with a smile on his face, training with the team, and Ayre and BR seem cool about it at the mo.
I support him whether he stays or goes. FSG is the enemy, not Suarez. ****ing cowards bottled it over the Evra appeal and THAT is the stench over our insipid, stand for nothing but the worldwide brand club, not Suarez.
I don't think Suarez is evil, I just think he's a bit of a tit. If he leaves I'll be disappointed that he didn't feel that our support throughout his misdemeanours didn't warrant another year at least to try and put it right, but I won't be persuaded to think of him as the devil incarnate just for the moment. We can't really expect footballers from foreign countries to show the same loyalty to the club that we do, and if they get a sniff of greater success elsewhere it's no big surprise that they want to be off. Ideally we'd hope for them to get caught up in the atmosphere and think of themselves as honorary scousers, like Molby, Hamann, etc, but in the end their primary allegiance is to themselves I suppose. If he stays, and plays well, I'll support him as before- but the love affair is over, I'm afraid.
Liverpool expect Luis Suarez to stay for next season says managing director Ian Ayre Source:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/luis-suarez-transfer-liverpool-expect-2057862
To be fair to FSG, they did the right thing. That's not an admission of acceptance of the FA's verdict but at the end of the day, it was a battle we would always lose. Racism is one of those topics where people 'need' to be seen fighting it despite the evidence presented. We were always going to lose.
