Remind me of exactly what his role at the club is, other than to represent his father in law at board meetings? He's been very quiet for 2 years. Presumably the Mittals are proportionately matching what the other shareholders are putting in, but beyond that I don't see what they bring. Mind you, thats probably enough. I doubt very much that they will be our White Knights if TF gets cold feet.

Yes, he strolls the office hallways, always moving too quickly to talk to anybody or media but too slowly to achieve anything of worth.
Officially, he's called a bean-counter ............. they actually do bugger all but they go home each day thinking they have achieved much.

I live in hope of finding a local facility to accommodate myself in such a lofty yet irrelevant position.

For all people may think of Fernandes following last season's debacle, I would be surprised if he would tolerate hangers-on and freeloaders on the board. What a fickle lot we appear rubbishing Bhatia now when many wanted him to run the place not too long ago. If he is there simply to represent the Mittal money then, to that effect, he will be providing necessary checks and balances at board level, which is no bad thing, particularly as the Mittal money is no modest sum.

TF - moan because he talks/tweets too much
AB - moan because we haven't heard from him.

My comments, as per usual, were made tongue in cheek. The current senior management have my full approval ...........
One - it may be that we are just over the waiting and want the season to begin, now.
Two, it is a forum .............. we have a licence to print bulls_hit.

TF doesn't want to lose the Mittals, and Amit will have plenty of influence at board level representing about a third of the total shares.

I imagine the Mittals are taking the view that since TF and his consortium effectively got the club into the present predicament (largely through enthusiasm and naivety), they are leaving TF to get the club out of it. Amit won't be troubled by much day to day stuff at the moment, but he would have been consulted on recent key appointments including McClaren.
