Heard yesterday that Norwich were going to offer one and a half mil.Which i though was unlikley as he is available on a free. But i suppose if QPR want him aswell then we have an auction ! Crikey, who would of thought wed get something back for old glass knees ? Nice bonus,if it happens of course !
Yes, we can clearly say that in June, before we make any signings. Because Bullard had such a big influence on our record beating away run last season. And I don't remember Bullard being in our 2008 squad. Yet somehow we made it up.
Lets just hope that QPR do'nt insist on a medical and believe him when he says "nah me knees are allright nar gavaner"
Everybody agrees our midfield needs improving, giving away the best midfielder in the league doesn't seem like the best way of achieving that. Besides, what decent player is going to want to come to a side that considers 11th in the Championship as an achievement? Bullard going just symbolises the end of any real ambition from this club to get back into the Premiership.
I know I shouldn't rise to it, as you're just being a cock, but Bullard wants out and despite the club employing 100 staff, over 20% of our wage bill goes on one bloke, it's a ****ing ridiculous position to be in, it has **** to do with ambition and everything to do with economics. As you don't have to find £45k each way to pay his ridiculous wages, we you shut the **** up criticising those who do.
It does when: a) The "best midfielder in the league" has been incapable of playing more than 10 games a season b) His wages would pay for 3 or 4 midfielders of the standard we require.
Small investment compared to the money we could make in the Premiership, besides your mate AP has already come out and said they've budgeted for JB being here next year, so I'd say it has more to do with egos than money. Most clubs in this division would love to have JB on their books. Are you sure you're not AP? You get very touchy when defending his ****-ups.
a) Just played 16 for Ipswich, he's been unlucky for us. b) What? Like Harper and Evans? I'd rather just keep the one tbh.
TWF, maybe if you end all of your quotes with "in my opinion" then message board life will be so much easier? I'm disappointed that Bullard is leaving, he never did repay PB's faith in him. He is incredibly talented but we really can't afford to keep him on such a ridiculous salary. Not JB's fault nor is it AP or the current owners. Being dispassionate about the issue: the gamble failed, we can't afford to keep him financially, Jimmy has to go. I think that 11th place was a position that if you'd told in August I'd have been happy (rather than seeing us go into admin, drop down a division). 11th is a good place to start and I'm hoping for a top 6 finish next season (a position we were only 2 points off with 4 games to go). I'd also guess that the Allams are wanting a top six position too. I'm not even going to go into some of the horror stories we've heard from Jimmy's fishing/golfing pals down these parts!
He hires an agent usually to secure his big moves then sacks them off I believe after as he doesnt want to have to keep paying them. I love all this 'I don't even have an agent' rubbish as if he is just an innocent naive footballer who just wants to play football.
c) He's a disruptive influence on the rest of the squad d) He's shown absolutely no committment, passion or loyalty to City - both on (his last few appearances) and off the pitch despite taking £45k a week e) He's a ****ing big-headed, freaky-bodied, gypo-looking prick
If Bullard can get a two year contract and leave on a free then we might be able to get rid of him. It is a bit of a gamble (like we made) but if QPR agreed to take on his contract then that's only just over a million (I suppose there will be on costs). If he helps keep them in the Prem then it will be a good investment for them just like it would have been for us if he had help keep us up there in our second season.
The best midfielder in the league that spends a large amount of time out injured and disruptes the dressing room. I want Bullard to stay but only if he reduced his wges to be inline with the new signing and doesnt get injured and stops being Jimmy big bollocks, but its not going to happen so the best for the club is to get rid
