As already mentioned on the FoF forum Enoh is down as an unused sub on the match report on the official site????
Perhaps his loan deal is until the end of July... If we'd signed him permanently we would've had a statement from the club or elsewhere.
I notice Christensen came on as sub for Riether, though I'm all for giving some youngsters a chance I'm confused with this one, firstly I thought Christensen was a midfielder and also young Grimmer has been left behind when a few have mentioned they feel he could be ready to step in as our right back understudy now! Anybody with knowledge of the academy clear his up or me? cheers
Here are the video highlights for anyone who didn't get a chance to watch the game last night:
Sadly that will be true for Amorebieta all season. He is a walking red card and I hope we have a decent back up plan because he will quickly become a marked man for refs in the Premiership unless he cleans his act up a bit.
No idea what it's called, but we won our first trophy of the season the other night: please log in to view this image
Video clip reminds me of watching matches on FM - who's the chap on the ball at 1.59? He looks bloody fast.
All set for our next friendly? It's against L.D. Alajuelense - Bryan Ruiz's first club - at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica, San José. please log in to view this image I reckon they'll be stronger competition, having qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League last season. Unfortunately the kick off is 3am (Thursday morning) our time!
So who else is desperate enough to be setting their alarms at quarter to 3 to catch the game. If anyone else is watching it the game should be here: http://www.repretel.com/envivo-11
Well, I didn't make it nick. Appears that the weather was pretty awful - electric storms and chucking it down - with an even first half but Fulham puting on the style in the second. L.D. Alajuelense 1 Fulham 3 The team was: Stekelenburg, Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Richardson, Sidwell (Karagounis 83), Boateng, Dejagah (Kacaniklic 58), Kasami (Na Bangna 70), Ruiz, Berbatov (Trotta 83) Not used subs: Etheridge, Senderos, Briggs, Christensen, Duff, David, Tankovic No idea where Amorebieta was or Hugo. I gather Dejagah played on the left (Kasami on the right) and wasn't too effective. Obviously these games are about trying things but I do hope Jol doesn't get into the habit of playing people out of position, again. Bryan clearly enjoyed playing against his old club and had a hand in all three of our goals, scoring one of them. You can see video highlights of the goals via this link: http://www.repretel.com/alajuelense-1-3-fulham
Thought Boateng looked good. Some good, snappy, direct passing. Good reading and positioning - though he needed it because he looked a bit slow. I don't know whether he is always on the slow side or if this is to do with fitness, lack of game time, heat and so on. Look as if they are enjoyi ng themselves - good group behaviours.
I've only seen him in a game in the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Tosh, and that's exactly what he looked like then. Could be that's just how he is. Whatever, he's looking a more than okay addition to the side.

And yet another Cup for the sideboard - Going to be The Year of Silverware please log in to view this image
Might need some sort of loft conversion to the trophy cabinet to get those two in. Height is obviously important in Costa Rica.
I understood that Fulhamâs âfeeâ for playing in Costa Rica was covered by a main sponsor: â(San Jose, Costa Rica; June 18, 2013) Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in customer management, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the tour of Fulham FC to Costa Rica next July. The team will play a series of fixtures against last season's Primera División Club Sport Cartaginés, Liga Deportiva Alajuelense and Deportivo Saprissaâ However, it looks like the clubs we played had to cover some of the cost and it didnât work out too well for one of them - C S Cartagines - who had to mortgage their ground: "Revelan que Cartaginés hipotecó su estadio por $330 mil para jugar ante Fulham Carthaginian vice president, Carlos Loria, has confirmed that the Estadio Jose Rafael "Fello" Meza was mortgaged for the friendly match against Fulham in England who left the club serious economic losses. Speaking to the station Monumental, Loria explained that "the numbers are not given and there was a mortgage that was made for a private entity to use as a bridge loan." The leader added that report on measures to take so that this situation does not severely affect the team's finances. The mortgage of $ 330 000 was intended to cancel after the game with the box office and the arrival of sponsors, but the numbers did not go according to plan. Note that this mortgage expires in December."
