I don't know what all the fuss is about. He once came third in the German Formula Three Championship and I hear he's a very safe and aware driver
Didn't know whether to post this here or in the YDT thread but reckoned it belonged here - Ricciardo will be testing for Red Bull in the YDT this week as they evaluate him for 2014. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/108807 Autosport reckon he's the "leading contender" - I thought that was Raikkonen?
Bottas has done okay this year, but he's hardly beaten Maldonado week in week out to say it would be a travesty if he was not on the grid next year. Pastor is a race winner after all, and with a bit more luck and better judgement could have had a couple of podiums last year too, so he is no slouch and showed B.Senna a clean pair of heels. It is worrying about Cecotto coming in though. Makes Grosjean look like a clean starter.......
Cecotto should be refused a super licence. I won't watch next year if him and Sirotkin are on the grid.
I rated Petrov myself and felt he was hard done-by. If they want to go "full Russian" (©BLS), why not bring him back? We already know he has talent.
Ferrari have a preview image of their 2014 engine. You can see it here. To compare to Renault: please log in to view this image
One radiator I heard, but with a smaller chassis in the process to reduce drag, the air inlet will also be smaller to that of Mercedes and Ferrari cars.
Yup, they intended theirs to produce less heat than the others but it still doesn't mean they wont have heating problems of their own as they will be able to go more aggressive on the chassis earlier on.
Horner just confirms some already heavy speculation about next year's seat, mainly it is between Kimi and Dan, and that the YDT slot for Dan is linked to it.http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/horner-admits-ricciardo-test-linked-to-2014-seat/
Da Costa's sights set on 2014 drive - http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/12433/8828401/ Guessing he'll be going to STR should Ricciardo/Vergne move on. I reckon we should get a list of drivers who could move up to F1 next year...
Sainz is not great. I'd be amazed if he's still on the Red Bull program if he continues the way he's been performing.
