I think if we scrape into Europe that will be an over achievement for this season, but can see top ten. People can be arrogant with or without just cause...it's more an attitude. The Aussies had it (until recently). I decided that I was more smug about Saints...asked my pet Pompey fan...he agrees...I am smug. He's also smug because they reckon they have sold 10K+ season tickets.
Good for Pompey. I was brought up with them as a big fish in a little pond; restoration is a wonderful thing.
My mate who always called Pompey fans skates now calls them the minnows. When I asked him why he said because they are small fish now and he likes to bait them!

Pompey need to get out of that league at first time of asking I reckon, they've sold a hell of a lot of season tickets on the back of the feel good factor of sort of owning their own club...but not really owning it. That won't last forever, and I'd be happy to wager they won't get anywhere near that total for a second year in the League.
Every team has a hard core of fans. We didn't all abandon Saints in League 1. I'm sure good old British bloody-mindedness will make them carry on supporting the club.
That's a good point "but not really owning it" , they're being used as a front for a property developer but can't even see it.......mugs. Some of the trust are walking around nortarf giving it all billy big bollocks ,its all going to end in tears and football's then supposed to feel sorry for them again, Give it a couple of years and there will be 3000 of them still claiming they're the bestest.
