I think Fabregas will come, as he was unfairly frozen out a little at Barca. He knows if he comes to us he will play, and be a key player in our side!

I'm very pleased with the players who are being linked with us this summer, and if we can get them all our side will be very strong. We've been abit light weight in midfield for a while, so if we can get Fabregas and Fellaini then I think well be laughing. Also Baines would be a very good signing.

I'm not convinced we need another striker, even if Rooney were to go, as we will still have 3 strikers, and we will no doubt only play with 1 up front, with a man playing off him, and Fabregas or Kagawa can play in the hole if needed

Yet you dickheads still think you will sign Rooney when its already been stated he's going nowhere.

Funny eh? Believe one thing and not another.

"Overall my thought on Wayne is, if for any reason we had an injury to Robin van Persie, we'll need him," Moyes said after United's ill-fated opening match of their summer tour, which ended in defeat

This must fill rooney with bags of confidence.. <laugh>

Well re mortgage your house and head down to the bookies, as there offering as big as 1/2 on him being at Barca at the start of the season!

Fabregas has even said that a move to us does interest him aslong as Barca are prepared to sell, and with the amount they're planning on spending they may have to let a few go

    Never happened before.

Also....last time Cesc managed to say himself that he wanted to stay yet now he cant do that and someone else has done it for him.

    Strange.

I think its more a case of Barcelona saying he doesnt want to leave because we dont think its quite enough money. raise your bid United and Cesc might suddenly have less love for Barcelona such is the way of football.

I remember reading somehwere that Barca need to sell before buying especially if they plan to buy Thiago silva. So this deal is possible but may take a bit more than the £25million stated.

Barcelona would only get £12.5m if they sold him for £25m. Reckon they're looking to get at least 40m if they do sell to a club other than arsenal.

Not many aces he can move then. Cant name a single club with no strikers. Chelsea are close but i think Ba technically qualifies as a striker.

Is there no 50% sell on clause?

Arsenal fans seems certain there is one.

I say £30mil plus add ons is more realistic than £40mil. I dont see Utd spending that on him but you never know, Especially if they cash in on Rooney.

Unlikely though cant be certain. Only Barcelona and Arsenal know. However some Arsenal shareholders and many none red top news outlets believe that Arsenal have first refusal if cesc indicates he wants to go to Arsenal and that Arsenal will get 50% of any profit Barcelona make.

I find it hard to believe barcelona will agree to such a clause. 50% sell on fee <laugh>

Oh and can anyone confirm where Vilanovas comments come from...... seems he's quoted correctly but hes referring to Cesc saying he wants to stay at the end of last season.

They probably thought they'd never need to sell him.

Villanova just had a press conference an hour ago i think.

Another thing, wouldn't united going for de rossi make a lot more sense? He's apparently on the market for £10-13mil.

Sell on clauses for big transfers are usually 50% of the profit, which is what is mentioned in most of the papers.

Can't see Barca agreeing to 50% of the total sale, essentially meaning they would have to sell him for £50 million just to break even on the deal. It would also essentially negate the value of Arsenal's buy back clause, as if they tried to buy Fabregas back for £25 million then it would effectively cost them more as they would lose out on a further potential £15-20 million of cash had he joined another club.
