Does any other team place their own banners etc around a foreign training base? Just seems a little OTT.

I am not sure, but I have seen it done in the UK on temporary training camps. It's not really OTT, it's about keeping the message and branding there at all times. It is just part of the modern game. It's why United are globe trotting as we speak... keep delivering the message.

Yes can understand that for a global brand like United but little old Saints? I must say I am very impressed with saints media team ..seem to the got it spot on with all the coverage coming from camp out there

Aim for the stars Dell Days, aim for the stars!!

Not worried about anything in fact more than happy about direction/ vision we have. My thoughts were most training camps teams go to use the facilities not re-decorate as well!

Many people's lives are less than 100% fulfilling. It's usually that things don't quite turn out the way they planned or family circumstance or tragedy stop their path of progress. Following your football club can help fill that little gap. To find that your club is content with being mediocre is never one that is ultimately going to turn on the adrenalin tap. Yet, to see your team from childhood, clearly trying to turn round the years of mediocrity and push as hard as they sustainably can to bring success and a new respect to the footballing South..? Well that should be what we've all been waiting for. Every other tradition Saints have had up until now has taken the place of the success they haven't been able to, or have been content not to, achieve.

I'm on board.

Its all still small beer compared to what happens in American sports. Look at Baseball teams, most MLS teams have their own "Spring training camps" where they own (or long term lease) a small stadium & training facilities somewhere (often Florida).

So I'm sure it won't be long until a football club does something similiar.

For a training camp like this there must be truckloads of kit, training equipment, electronics, food etc to go out there, so a couple of rolled up banners probably wasn't too much extra effort.

It is for the benefit of the gutter press guys looking for a shocking disclosure pic, the branding will be there leaving no one in doubt what the subject is going to be about.
