The rumours of his departure continue it seems... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ex-Oxlade-Chamberlain-urged-join-Arsenal.html How much could his father play a role? Wish the mail could just stay out of it...
The Fail said In Januaray that a £10 Million deal with Arsenal had been agreed. I wouldn't listen to them. 95% of what they write is bulshit and the other 5% hysteria about the bullshit. And thats not just in their sport section.
Try going on their main page and seeing how far down you can read before you want to top yourself. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html
On the BBC gossip today - Oxo not tall enough for them. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to try to sign taller players to stop his side letting in so many goals from set-pieces. Full story: the Guardian
I was surprised to read that he's 5'11. He must look short when he plays because of his agility and low centre of gravity. He's not tall, but he's not tiny either.
Wouldn't wipe my arse with the Daily Mail (if you asked them they'd probably tell you it'll give you cancer).
People say we're being greedy wanting 10 million for Oxo, but it's only greedy if you want to sell. 10 Million tells me that we want to keep him. At that price makes no sense for Arsenal..they need some ready made players if they are ever to compete in the Premier League and Europe.
The balls in our court. If I was Cortese, I'd ask for £12 million instead of 10, therefore it's a win-win situation whether he stays or goes. Don't trust what's in the Daily Fail anyway.
couldn't give a toss what "people say". £10m has always been a figure plucked from thin air by the first tabloid to link Oxo moving away from Saints. As ever with the press, they then take it as gospel and use the famous media tactic of repeating something over and over until it has a life of it's own and must be true.
That daily mail article says we have a strong relationship with the Arsenal??! Can't see why selling them Theo has made it strong, and last time I checked they haven't sent us any promising loanees of late, oh wait there was the goalkeeper last season who they took back for 3rd/4th place cover after a few weeks with us. Also I thought we cashed in early on our deal, making the final figure around 9 mil, not the 5+7 mil they are stating?
That sounds right mate. Also I just checked and the keeper James Shea was with us for 8 days, not a few weeks. I stand corrected says the man in the orthopedic shoes! Wonder if that's a record or have we had a loanee spend less than 8 days with us before?
