http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/4488-gers-must-be-cup-contenders Mark Hately certainly thinks we are capable . I'm not so sure . We have a decent squad that should win the 2nd division at ease but can they compete with the good SPL sides ? Last season we had a great night at Ibrox when we thumped Motherwell but were brought crashing back to earth soon after by Caley thistle . In the Scottish cup we were found wanting at Tannadice . So have our new signings improved the side enough to see us past these types of sides ? Of course it's too early to say but a vast improvement in attitude and application will be needed for us to hope to win a cup . A vast improvement from the manager will also be needed . His record in cup competitions is terrible . First and foremost the league is priority . If we take care of that and do it in a manner akin to how we all would like to see Rangers perform then that will do me . Anything else will be a bonus . A cup would be excellent but alas could prove a wee bit beyond our capabilities at the moment .
It's like Deja Vu all over again. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport...ur-trophy-haulstarting-with-ramsdens.18906977
Nah that to was pish . Something about default setting . He does a good tag though . Has an unhealthy obsession with the clergy it seems . Oh and dogs spunk . Go figure.
Ye talk is cheap as they say . Much the same as the treble talk thats been coming from parkhead . That crap usually ends up coming back to bite them on the arse . Have you got an opinion on Rangers cup chances ?
I would say their chances of winning a cup are no better than they were last season, they've moved up a division but that counts for nothing. Have they improved their squad? That remains to be seen. If Mark Hateley predicts something I would be tempted to bet against it happening.
A cup win this season would suggest we've returned to the days of kamikaze finances. Our aim this season should be to have a squad that can comfortably win the league. If it's capable of winning a cup, we've probably overspent.

No . Are you a sister shagging tattie eating soap dodging work shy arse bandit ? Yes you are . Now **** off tosspot .
Hmmm. I'm fairly sure you have the second highest wage bill in scotland. Now, whether the current level of spending is sustainable or not I don't know, but if you're spending more than every other club bar us, should you not be hoping for better than simply beating the part-timers in League 2? St Mirren won a cup last season ffs
They are just links to newspaper articles where Celtic players and staff are talking about winning the treble . No big deal and only for the benefit of ST who seems to have never heard a Celtic staff mentioning such stuff.
They don't link to any articles abut treble winning etc (or in some cases any articles at all) actually. Good effort though
