Or how little people understand of it.

Yes I also expected at least 17k there yesterday and was staggered by the crowd?

I am wondering if many people were put off by the Rangers fans reputation and some of the bullshit coming out about possible trouble around the ground etc, well I spent some time with the Rangers fans yesterday and they were magnificient. When your football is both your sport, politics and religion it must mean so much more for you.

All I felt yesterday was a hand of friendship being shown to us, great fans and great people..

I hope we can go up to them for the return next year...

thats if anyone can be bothered.!!!

That's excatly what I thought, fans going mad about the new signings only to get to see them in a friendly against a club that the only chance we ever had of playing them before was in a major European cup.
Times have changed for them at the moment once they are back playing in their two team league I doubt we will get to see them again.
Oh well it's a club that I can say I saw live, and a crowd that I would love us to be.

And as Banksy said yesterday, all I saw was friendliness coming from their fans in discussions with them.

It was a friendly played against a lower league team from Scotland, at a high price with a stupid ko time.

Add in the hottest day of the year, the Ashes and the risk of trouble, it was never going to be a big crowd.

Spot on, plus lots of people are away on holiday at this time of year too and familys with kids may have been mindful of heat stroke under 30 degree temperatures.

A fairly meaningless game despite the size and reputation of the opposition, although respect to them for the numbers they brought, but the trend of defeats and not scoring goals continues.

The clock is ticking quicker for SOD to bring things together ready for 2 weeks on Saturday and Bradford City at home.

I was unaware that there was a boycott saturday. Somebody should tell Steve Lansdown to keep his hand in bis pocket now when the annual debt is announced.

Always something better to do with many.

Mr Lansdown does his part, support your local club.

Seriously? After that Rangers should play bigger fish. City have little to offer them.

I didn't go in the end, for that very reason, as I was in Manchester when they tore the city apart. However, I ran into loads of Rangers fans while in the centre, and they were all very friendly, and looking forward to a good game of football.

I couldnt make it due to the early kick off time, but personnally wouldnt look to much into the attendance for this game, i am sure when the season starts the fans will be back
As for the teams form again pre season is a time too experiment with formations signings trialist and tactics, its not a time to lose key players to injury by going balls out, a number of years back we had a really poor pre season and then went!
