MITO's point makes sense; don't build them up to be the new Messi (so tempted to put Neymar ) before seeing them play. By end of August they'll be the new Djimi or Konchesky
I don't have black hair, nor do I wear glasses, I have better dress sense and I'm not also stick thin. So no, I'm not kinda like him
But no one built him up to be the new Messi, I just said that if we nurtured him well he could be a good player. Hardly a rash prediction, and what does my opinion matter in the grand scheme of things? It's not like he's going to read my comments and buckle under the pressure, it's just me being positive rather than going "Oh, another bench warmer, great." As I said, if he doesn't turn out to be successful then so be it, he joins a long list, it's not like I'm going to look back at my comments in regret, after all, all I'm doing is being optimistic about a new signing, some one who our scouting team has watched more than I and has deemed good enough to play for us.
Aspas impressed me - looks clever on the ball, looks for the quick ball, able to keep it under pressure etc. Can definitely see him replacing Downing Alberto was decent but flapped at a couple of decent chances. But for a 20 year old, he is technically sound and looks at ease with the ball. Glad to see that the squad has more players than actually WANT the ball. I suspect we'll be seeing more of Aspas with Alberto waiting in the wings but I think he'll be a decent player to come off the bench (unless he does a Coutinho). Oh, and Coutinho was magical as always.
