No real linking but heard a couple of people now say he's one of Steve Bruce's "Irons in the fire". Brighton paid £2m for him and presumably after scoring 9 goals in 17 matches in the Championship they will want hefty profit on that and add-ons. That being said he is a lone striker and exactly the type we need, similar in style to Michu I would say. Would definitely prefer him to Deeney or Bendtner.
He did look pretty decent. I don't think he is one of our targets though, I don't see Brighton wanting to sell him already.
Ulloa and Deeney would both be great signings - best of the championship, potential to succeed at a higher level. Better than been there and never quite done it types like Bendtner, IMO. Cheaper too. I think Bendtner sounds more exciting just because he's a 'bigger' more established name. Not that I'd be against Brucey taking the plunge on signing him (at the right price).
I don't think Deeney is good enough. Ulloa's goals last season exhibited very good technical ability and although wages would be less than Bendtner I can see Brighton wanting £6m for him.
