He might be a sick note last season, but I have a feeling he is going to rip league one apart. I didn't know Baldock was captain missed the first 5 minutes the Mrs forgot the cigerette's so guess who had to go to the shop to get some more. And I'm pleased that someone else was impressed with Wynter as well, hope it was not just a one off because we could have a decent player on our hands.
Well I was looking back over the stats for last year Baldock and Davies both need to be fitter if they are to play a significant part in this years challenge Baldock started 23 games which is half Davies started 21 games that's in the league only they also made 11 and 16 sub appearances mainly when recovering from injuries. So Baldock missed completely 25% of the season and another 25% only managed an average of 21 mins a game Davies was worse early on but did get fitter as the season went on and had more appearances in the second half of the season than the first.
Plus someone posted on here that Davies looked leaner and fitter this year when he played against Rangers.
As much as I defended McInnes have to say I agree with Shiny. He might not of been fit at the beginning of the season but after a month or so there was no need to cotton wool him all the time.
Hawk Davies looks a lot fitter and leaner,as i said in a post yesterday But both have everything to proove, neither have set the world alight since coming here. Neither looked dangerous yesterday either.
We also had the statement that our gracious leader hates and thinks pre-season games are a waste of time....HMmmmm subliminal....
first half composed as a unit and confident on the ball, a few nervy passes but overall competitive without being nowhere near full throttle........... Fielding looks a bit vulnerable with set pieces lacking height but what a world class save to deny Rangers.......... Flint solid in the air but needs to judge his passes better great buy Williams looks like hes beginning to settle, be interested to see if he plays as well in the middle between Flint and Greg Jet wicked dominant on the ball worked hard and got about the pitch wanting the ball....... Wynter yes potential great lil young'un there one thinks......... Lacking up front, way to many readable long passes towards Sammy, easy for their defence, there ponytailed centre back was a class act throughout mind making it tough to get goalside without having his say (there man of the match, Flint ours, bout right)........ Taylor..........shi*e Brundle came in at left back for williams looks like good cover if needed Carey, sunday league...time for change be good in the dressing room mind Bobby reid was alot quieter than his 1st half performance v Clevedon Ajala lively and wanting to make an impack rather than being carried by the team I missed seeing Holloway, he had a great second half at Clevedon and wanted to see how he would fair against sterner opposition......... Maybe the 351 formation would suit away from home not so sure, time will tell............. Bring it on otib
Apparently Moloney and Cunningham had minor niggles so they decided not to play with Full backs as such, I think we will be seeing a lot of Jay in the hole but will it be behind a single forward or two I think the strength of the midfield will determine that.
I'm just hoping that Jordan Wynter was just having a abnormal good game, I think we have a good player on our hands there.
