spot the error he 17-year-old midfield sensation is one of the rising stars of Spanish football. Valencia are demanding around £3.5million for the player with The Merseyside club offering around £2m less. If no deal can be reached, then a tribunal will set the final fee. Chirivella was on the verge of joining Barcelona in 2001 after Valencia accepted a bid for him, but the player himself turned down the chance to join the Catalan giants. oh and i don't believe par se in this stuff.. if you want to be arsenal cos the only reason this works in holland is its a ****e league. Ajax might make players and so do arsenal but if you can't retain then it's pointless. the model is fine as long as its backed with real players in the seniors driving for success.... we have so many young players that throwing anothe ron the pile just makes me shrug and say so what? where's my marquee signing to prove you want more than 7th.
Please be true... Please be true... Please be true... Please be true... Please be true... Please be true... Please be true... Please be true...
Be good to get those two. Noticed on the 'Norwich sign Fer' BBC page today, that alot of their fans still think Alderweireld is still going to them. Even after he rejected them You've gotta laugh sometimes
in fairness... "layer himself turned down the chance to join the Catalan giants" at 5 years old thats quite mature so thats what rodgers wants eh? oh and 25mil for eirksen and alderweireld is a bit strong. we know 6.4mil was agreed "apparently for alderweireld. so thats make 18mil for eriksen which is 3 mil more than mooted everywhere and 10mil more than the source i heard and was told was rubbish. 25mil is a good offer if true.... if we get them we can then simply hold our powder on suarez and get a forward lined up.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...verpool-encouraged-in-Christian-Eriksen-chase bascially ajax are talking a lot. they are really signalling a come and get him signal here and i think want the money. Will we really bid?
Probably 25 million Euro which is just under 22 million I think, so that would add up better to the money getting talked about
If our scouting team hasn't even enquired I'd be extremely disappointed. He ticks every box for me and it's actually plausible that we could sign him.
Depends what you read doesn't it? I've read that Ajax want £20m and £10m+ for Eriksen and Alder respectively. IMO, I'd prefer this signing to getting Henry Ryan for £23.5m
On his transfer plans, Rodgers said: "We need one or two centre halves and I'm looking to bring 20 more goals into the team. “So I'm also looking at another offensive player to give us a real threat on goal and another attacking midfield player. “We definitely need to do that, especially if we're going to put some young ones out on loan next season to gain experience. “But it's not easy when you can't make mistakes. We want to keep the acceleration and pushing on so this is a very important window for us. We have to do our best to make it right because the players who need to come in have to be effective right from the off."
well if norwich had a bid accepted and it was more like 6-7mil then toby alderweireld's fee is set. the only two questions i have is how much is eriksen worth with no more contract AND are we actually bidding or not. CB and AM it is, prior to suarez going so this is all about are we bidding.
googled eriksen.. the mirror article at the start of the day seems to be the root of these rumours. ther eis a bit of an explosion of comments after de boer said the guy could go where he wants. it seems they are on asian tour too so he must have fielded a question over there.... it seems to be nothing new just build up off mirror. so i think forget it.
utd are in the toilet..... we get abuse about players not wanting to come... they have moyes. they have to over pay and overpay wages to get anything this summer i think.
As of lunch time today, there was no bid submitted to Ajax from Liverpool for either/both of the players. Don't know if a bid has since been submitted though. Whilst very little news comes out from Liverpool, other clubs are not so tight lipped.
Have Man U signed anyone yet? Maybe a bit of a strange question, but do people still think Man U have the same pull as they did this time last year? Obviously as a club they are a huge brand and are of course the current champions, but I just don't see players falling over themselves to work for Moyes as they would have for Slur Alex.
They signed some defender from south America. In ways yes, the draw of coming to Manchester United will be immense for any player.. But they also have lost the Ferguson factor, every player around Europe knows of him and his reputation and I'm sure it was a pull for players to play under him.
Strengthening the first eleven is a tougher job because you're chasing the finished article and there's much fiercer competition. Just because we don't know what's going on doesn't mean nothing is. There are plenty of young players with potential but only a few realise that potential to compete at the top. By buying a shedload of them we increase our chances of landing one or two real stars of the future- the rest we can sell on for a reasonable profit. Whatever happened to the minimum requirement of home grown players, btw?
