Mark Cavendish wins the stage from Peter Sagan! Chris Froome has lost over a minute to Alberto Contador!
Six Saxo-Tinkoff riders (incl. Contador) in the breakaway group and Froome and his Sky team riders finished at 1'09" off the leading group. So Contador has taken that amount out of Froome's lead.....and in two days time it will be a finish at Mont Ventoux (1,912m in elevation). Stage 14: Saint-Pourcain-sur-Sioule - Lyon (191km). Lots of hills - Cats 3 & 4 - where the leaders will try to hold their positions. Breakaway likely. Wide open finish?

I was at the finish today here in Lyon, was cool since there was a huge screen showing where the riders where coming into the city.. 10 mins walk from my house & there were loads of people who had travelled to Lyon for this.. including a group of kids from London.. they asked me where I was from & I said Beverley.. lass says "tha's a girls name..", so I says Hull she responds "I heard it smells of Pot Noodles".. I'd never heard this before.. was tempted to push her under Trentin's bike but he was too quick.. good day though.. St Pourcain where they started is a lovely town too - often drive through it on my way to see my mother in Dordogne.
Stage 15: Givors - Mont Ventoux. (242.5km). A tough week of riding ahead, starting today with a gruelling finish on Mont Ventoux - an average 7.5% ascent to 1,912m. Team Sky will have to work to keep Froome in touch with his GC rivals, especially Contador.
Come on Froome! British sport this summer has been fantastic, following on from the Olypmics and TDF last year. The Ashes and Tour De France would the icing on the cake.

Froome was second in the Time Trial, only to Tony Martin - who is the World Champion. Then he goes and beats Contador on the mountain! Chapeau!
Froome deserves more recognition for his achievements so far. Good luck and keep it up. Nice to have an enjoyable summer without the football ruining it.
Absolutely. Sadly, he will remain in Wiggo's shadow in most of the population's minds. Also, if he does win the TDF, then most will forget about it due to Andy Murray.
I agree mate. Although, i think Wiggins personality and the fact he won it in the build up to the Olympics helped his cause. He was always thought of as one of Britains medal hopes in the build up. I think that's why he'll be remembered.
