Just watched item about Taarabt on SSN.
Evidently DQPR don't want to sell him but want to send him out on loan.
Prospects of two GERMAN clubs being interested, not a single mention of Hull City.

    Another false rumour.

    Don't see this happening.

Remember the QPR game well, all his team-mates rushing over to put their arm round his shoulder as they trotted off at half time.

Never seen anything like it. I revelled in his tantrum that day.

Does he do the business enough to justify his lack of workrate and his questionable commitment?

    Not for me, no.

To be fair, he's changed a lot since he was in the Championship.

He's obviously miles too good for that league and he pissed it with ease. But when anything happened that he didn't like (for example, when we played them at their place we wiped him out of the game in the first minute because Ben Mee was instructed to knock him for 6, he didn't like it) he would throw a tantrum and wouldn't play.

    He wouldn't do that now.

Still, he'll go somewhere like Russia where he'll be paid loads and have miles of space.

Have you seen Balotelli in a Milan shirt? Somewhere he WANTS TO BE? He never wanted to be at City, he admitted publicly he only signed for them as a stopgap cos Inter would never sell him to Milan. At Milan he has been extraordinary and has a goal a game ratio.

Taarabt would have a hard time coping with our fans, Andy Dawson went through the back of him & he stopped playing.. cue chimes of "She wants to go home".. once a Drama always a Drama..

But it's moot cos he wants to be at Milan. He was only a perceived trouble causer at City cos he was desperate to leave. He knew exactly what he was doing , he was playing the game to get his move.

I think you are putting one and one together and getting 3 there. On field his discipline was Ok In the final year at City.

As I said on the other thread, I'd be delighted if we signed him. He's a great little player and has a good engine.

People on here need to realise that one game doesn't make a player. Jakupovic is a prime example of our fans going to an extreme. Kept 3 straight clean sheets, written off because of what he did against Sheffield Wednesday. Since then he's '****'. Get a grip.

Taarabt played in that game against us and yes he acted like a tit because he got all hot and bothered, but with him actually playing for us, are our fans actually that thick that they'd wind him up and take the piss? He's a talented footballer and one that scores goals. Anybody who watched him play for QPR will have seen he made the step up to the PL easily and while he might not have been good enough for Tottenham, he's more than good enough for us.

So that's former England and Chelsea striker Carlton Cole and now a Moroccan International with PL experience and goals that have been written off already. I wonder who else we can strike off using our moral high ground. I heard Maynor Figueora got a speeding ticket once. Somebody pack his bags, he reckons he's the next Niki Lauda, what a poor example he's setting to our children. Don't we have a firm called the Hull City Psychos? Jesus, maybe we shouldn't associate ourselves with a club that has supporters like that....

It seems like a lot of people on here are desperate to show how much morality they have. "Oh well he had a tantrum, don't want the little oik playing for us. Pass the sherry." Or even worse "Oh it'll please everybody on this board if I make a great moral stance". Maybe actually look at the player on the pitch instead of jumping straight to a detailed background check of what he does off it (although in Taraabts case it was on it <laugh> ).

Some people need to just look at the positives of signing these players instead of just writing them off as soon as they're mentioned. In fact, some of these posters have written off pretty much every player we've been linked with so far!

Eh?!? You're the one who compared them suggesting that Balotelli was trouble!!
