Sterling impressed today, started like he did last season. Fresh and fast paced. Looked really sharp, even at this early stage of pre-season

 

Vindicated for dropping him, soon Rodgers may be.

 

We look a much better side with Lucas in the Team. We need to bring another DM in I feel to offer him competition and cover

And talking of (OT) everyone saw the Gavin Henson getting knocked out by team mate clip? Brilliant!

 

I missed the game today but have been reading through and it sounds positive.

I find it strange that Kelly only played 9 minutes though. How was he?

 

Well currently, I would have our first team as:

Johnson------Kolo------Agger------Enrique
-------------Gerrard------Lucas
Aspas-------------Coutinho------Sterling
--------------------Sturridge

A player of Eriksen or Bernard would be great, a striker, someone to battle in CM and someone to partner Agger.

 

Let's not get carried away. It was a good run out in the sun - nothing more and nothing less. However,it looked like their were a few new strategies being practiced this afternoon

tight tops....no... the team looking like a proper football team and not a bunch of children yes.... even gerrard looked haggard in that shirt.

 

Where did Luis Alberto play when he came on?

Same question for Aspas.

 

Aspas played as the main forward. Alberto played deep just in front of Lucas.

 

So Alberto was in CM? How did he look?

 

He looked tidy, had a couple of bursts forward with a couple of shots straight at the keeper, and I don't recall him giving the ball away once.

 

I wonder if CM could be his long term role for us. If it is then poor Texeira.

 

I sometimes have to ask someone to help me out of my T shirt after the gym before I hit the shower. Must be awkward for them... I don't do awkward.

Some decent glimpses but also some stinkers. Not a bad 4-0 start though

 

Haven't seen the match yesterday, will record it when I get home tomorrow, pretty sure it'll be on LFC TV tomorrow night.

Care to let me know what the bad and good points were?
