Reet fatha! What we'll do is, you come round mine, we'll have a couple of beers, look at the options and you decide
Colback has chalked up nearly 100 appearances for Sunderland since making his debut in May 2010 and has also had two loan spells at Ipswich. It is understood that Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio wants to keep Colback, but the Black Cats may have to cash in as the player enters the last year of his contract. “You need players like Jack in your squad,” Di Canio said at the end of last season. “Players who are versatile and can adapt. “He’s a good footballer, and he’s also very intelligent. “He’s like a sponge with information – you ask him to do something, he understands, he does it. “Managers love a player who is capable of doing that. “That’s what you need as a modern footballer – intelligence and adaptability – and Jack has both.”
i would like to say imo a player like jack is a credit to any club who has his service, he is never going to be a huge star , but what he offers to all is the honesty and he is a bit of a throw back of how a proper pro should be like ., no trouble on or off the pitch does a credible job in any format he is asked to forfill, i think he should be retained as he has a quality other young footballers should copy within our club , a credit to the game
I am at a loss to understand the negativity about Colback, PDC rates him but apparently cannot define the position he wants him to play. I doubt very much if Colback is being truculent about his future at Sunderland but if PDC is not sure about where/how to use him when he knows the lad then surely he must keep him until all the new signings bed in. If they don't match up, which is not guaranteed, the Colback would be priceless. On the other hand he could add a vowel to the end of his name and he would automatically become a better player.
Would be sad to see him go. Very steady, not a world beater but can rely on him, would like at least for him to stick around till Jan window, see how the new boys pan out
Nostalgic Its not negativity mate the lad won,t sign a new contract so its simple get rid while we can get something for him
If it was 12 months ago then i'd keep the lad, if we get all the pieces of the puzzle before d day and if the price is right then i'd sell.. By the sounds of it and i know it's only the press but it seems like jack's head is halfway out the door. Better off having players who are committed to the pdc/eliis cause!!
What the heck is araf???I am an old fuddy-duddy who likes a local player or two in our side,so why get shot of a local lad who has come thro' the ranks, and who has done a good job for our team???
