Sorry but I have not been on this site a great deal of late. So please enlighten me, how exactly is Moyes when compared to previous Everton managers been below average. Can you show me the proof? Even post a link to your previous post please.

I have previously posted links, do some research.

He is Below Average because his average position with Everton is 8th. Evertons all time PL average is 7th. Evertons all time league average is 7th.

If their all time average is 7th and Moyes average is 8th then he is with out question BELOW AVERAGE.

Hope that explains it simply enough for you.

Where do you get your figures from?

The 1992-93 season saw the Premier League begin.

1992-93 Everton finish 13th Joe Royle
1993-94 Everton finish 17th Joe Royle
1994-95 Everton finish 15th Joe Royle
1995-96 Everton finish 6th Joe Royle
1997-97 Everton finish 15th Joe Royle replaced in March 97 with caretaker David Watson.
1997-98 Everton finish 17th Howard Kendall
1998-99 Everton finish 14th Walter Smith
1999-00 Everton finish 13th Walter Smith
2000-01 Everton finish 16th Walter Smith
2001-02 Everton finish 15th Walter Smith replaced in March 02 by Moyes
2002-03 Everton finish 7th David Moyes
2003-04 Everton finish 17th David Moyes
2004-05 Everton finish 4th David Moyes
2005-06 Everton finish 11th David Moyes
2006-07 Everton finish 6th David Moyes
2007-08 Everton finish 5th David Moyes
2008-09 Everton finish 5th David Moyes
2009-10 Everton finish 8th David Moyes
2010-11 Everton finish 7th David Moyes
2011-12 Everton finish 7th David Moyes
2012-13 Everton finish 6th David Moyes

That means David Moyes was in charge of Everton in Premier League for 11 full seasons not including of course his March 2002 start in 2001-02 season when he took over from Smith.

That means over 11 seasons, Everton under Moyes finished 7.54. Rounded that up gives you 8.

However since 1992 and the beginning of the Premier League, the average finishing position of Everton football club before Moyes took over (first full season 2002-03) was 14th. Their overall Premier league average finishing position is 11th which is still 3 places below Moyes.

Like I said, I don't know where you get your figures from.

And if you look at annual squad wages he's performed well above his station. But hey, we can't let facts get in the way of CPofL KTBFFH's views.

I watched the second half, it was like watching a pre-season game...

Prediction: Welbeck won't play many league games this season. He was dreadful, fulfilling his prime role as a non scoring striker. Moyes won't have the time or patience to cut him the slack Fergie did and I can't see how he can start ahead of or alongside RVP, Hernandez, Rooney or Rooney's replacement. The excuse will no doubt be that it's pre season and he's not match sharp but he looked as sharp as he did all of last season ie ****e.

Zaha impressed when he came on and apparently Januzaj was good in the first half so I also can't see Welbeck being a regular winger ahead of them, Nani, Valencia or Young.

He's better than Lukaku and Walcott though, allegedly.

Zaha was the best player on the pitch in the 2nd half, he did look impressive and nearly scored

Better than Lukaku? Nah. I really don't rate him that highly. Think he's Villa's level.
