I saw these comments regarding Fulham's new owner on another forum:
Buying Fulham as a way to improve his chances of bringing an NFL team to London? Interesting times ahead it seems.

I doubt it. I'd explain why but several already have, like Paul Kuharsky: http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/51480/epl-buy-hardly-means-jaguars-will-move

Also, three NFL games a year in London? That's nearly half their home games, I'm not sure that guy really understands what's going on.

Should be able to get one comfortably under that, could start here - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/deskt...30_70030_0_xx/1_12/price-asc/xx-criteria.html - and pick out what size you want. Or shop around and you might get some a bit cheaper elsewhere (Amazon is a good bet). I never really find that there's any difference between brands, they're all made to the same standards anyway.

That link doesn't work for me but I'll take your word for it. I know very little about the NFL so I was just trying to generate some discussion.

The guy whose post I quoted certainly has some "interesting" ideas. I had a bit of a row with him in January over the Adkins sacking. He said I had a warped sense of reality when I suggested Southampton could compete with Stoke in their first season in the Premier League and also said I had to face the fact that however good our academy is, we'll continue to sell the players we produce. He specifically said Shaw would be off to Arsenal this summer!

Runs flowing so far. 9(?) off the first over and Broad is past 50 in the second with a slash through the slips.

Can't honestly recommend PC World for anything. Overpricing and poor service is what you generally find. You may as well buy a lot cheaper from ebay. My recommendation would be Novatech in Porchester, but they have outlets elsewhere too. Online too, so you can buy and collect or get it delivered for a fiver. Try their website: www.novatech.co.uk

An NFL team in London, that would be epic!

They'd better keep the glitz and glamour of the NFL though.

Appears to be down for me, too... there are a number of points made - if Khan moved a team to London he'd only have one market, instead he's got two, with one being Jacksonville/Florida and one being Fulham/London. There have already been significant investments in Jacksonville on the design of a new stadium, which would be money straight down the pisser if they're moving to London, etc etc. That's without even getting into the fact the whole idea of a London franchise is terrible, for millions of reasons - if it happened, it wouldn't be for several years now, and I couldn't see it being anything other than a failed venture.

End of the day, very few NFL fans really want our own franchise. We're very happy with the International Series, thank you Goodell!

If we do get our own franchise though, they should be called the London Sillynannies

In fairness, the Jaguars barely sell out Everbank Field as it is :p

England's lead is past 300. Definitely favourites now but another 20 or 30 from 9, 10 and 11 would be nice. I can see Swanny playing a few shots now.

Not the best innings of Swann's career. Never really looked comfortable.

311 is a big ask. Nice half hour before lunch here. England can have a real hard go at them then put their feet up for a bit.

I really need to get into gear. I need to clean, get my hair cut and from 5pm to 12am I'm working on a Jazz Night function at my Sixth Form.

Serving food, drinks and trying to flog raffle tickets. (I dislike trying to flog people raffle tickets)

I'm being paid in pizza, drinks and whatever I can earn in tips.

Oh, and I've been allocated to the two tables that are up two flights of stairs. That'll be fun.

Meanwhile, MotoGP is at the Sachsenring this weekend. Lorenzo won't race, having fell on his bad collarbone during practice, but his rival Pedrosa will miss qualifying having had his own practice crash.

TIme for Crutchlow to come to the front again? <ok>

Crutchlow qualifies 2nd behind Marquez, but what a performance by Espargaro on the CRT bike. 5th on the grid!?

I hate trying to flog anything. I once spent a day walking around St Albans town centre asking shoppers if they'd like to take half an hour out of their busy day to be on camera. That's far too many rejections for one day.
