Evening all Surprised none of our lot have asked this yet I would of but ive been on holiday. As you may know we've signed Wagstaff on a free and with Adomah off we will need someone on the wing. Hes played a fair few games for you and was part of your promotion team from league 1. We will obviously be aiming for promotion so will he play a good part in that? What sort of player is he and will he prove to be a good signing Thanks in advance
He is a player who will go missing for 89 minutes but will show up for 1 minute in the danger zone and score a goal. Can't cross, but runs his heart out (and run very fast), very good league 1 player just not up to Championship level IMO but defo a fave player of him simply as he gives 100%.
He likes to cut in and shoot, he will score you 9 goals a season given a run in the team, he is very good at giving his right back cover so if you have an attacking RB this will prove useful, he is not injury prone. Against, he will not take on a full back on the outside even though he has a fair amount of pace, he works hard but can still go missing during games, crossing is an art he has yet to master. His mum is a regular contributor to not606 but she will not allow a bad word to be said about her boy
We do need a quality crosser of the ball Saying that we may not need him to cross the ball so much with the formation we will play, Will probably be Baldock on his own with JET behind so his crossing ability may not be a problem. Thanks for the info so far lads
I know what you mean, but our Bristolian friend will find this baffling. He has not fulfilled his early promise. His main assets are his speed, his shooting, and his willingness to work back and support his full-back. His weaknesses are passing, crossing, and lack of positional sense which means he doesn't see as much of the ball as he needs to. At first he used to rocket past the opposing full-back but over the last two seasons he has been putting the brakes on or cutting inside. I suspect he may have been badly coached at Charlton and maybe O'Driscoll and his staff can get more out of him. I hope so as he is a smashing lad and should prove popular at Bristol. Not as skilful as Adomah but better workrate. Can anyone post a link to Scott's wonder goal against Bournemouth? I can only find a poor clip on YouTube.
That goal against Bournemouth was an absolute screamer. I'm a bit biased in favour of Waggy as hes from my neck of the woods, but it's fair to say he's a cracking lad and he should do well under the coaching of O'Driscoll. I think he's got the basics, some good coaching will turn him into a good Championship winger IMO
Well he is better than Green.......He works harder than Green.he works harder than Green,Scott Wagstaff works harder than Green....
