So, here is the update for the 1881, which has taken off so quickly it's incredible! So far, over 250 have moved to the singing section in the Rookery. Meanwhile, over £3300 has been raised to buy flags and banners, and the club have agreed to double anything that is donated by the fans! There will also be a merchandise site, going live very soon, where mousemats and iphone covers (for those of you with iphones, poor sods lol), enamel badges, as well as other stuff will be available for purchase. In another thread i will post a poll for the anthem. It's time to decide...! Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask..if you still haven't moved seats, but want to, the club have extended the deadline, and you can now still move for free to the singing section, email [email protected] asap with name and fan ID . COYH!!! this is going to be awesome!!!
Was on the 1881 site whilst you were posting and had another listen to Yellow. I saw about the money raised somewhere on the web but no mention of it on the site. No mention of very much on the site alas. I do here and the 1881 (and ZebreFurlane, a Udinese site) and try to maintain some privacy so facebook etc is not for me. That said I must rekindle my Twitter account, but I found it too 'busy'. Sorry I'm whinging on now... but my point is, can someone update the 1881 site with this news and maybe lyric sheets etc? every little helps.
A little update on the movement. Tonight there was a meeting of 20 members at vicarage road along with Gareth (harry the hornet), Shorty the announcer, Jon Marks from bbc three counties and Jon Moonie of From the rookery end . We all got together to discuss the situation with regards to the seating, I will post a pic later, and to practice and record some of the songs that will be introduced. The songs are fantastic, so thanks to Roy Moore and William Worth for their creative input and writing them. Now its just a matter of getting as many voices as possible singing loud and proud at vicarage road. COYH!!!!!
Top Effort Dan good on yer for being there , twenty folk turn out not bad considering time and deliberate late advertising , seen some of the more imaginitive chants all looks very good
Cheers, the 20 that were there clearly wanted to be ther and there was great enthusiasm. There are some great chants, I cant wait to try them out at Birmingham!
