Not as bad as I thought mate, fair play. Pardew remains a problem. Should have replaced him not hired Joe but I'm sure you know that. <ok>

Quite happy with Pards, manager of the year a season ago and deserved it. Poor last season and like the board, coaches, squad struggled with demands we faced. Big believer in patience and giving people genuine time. He's only been in the job two and half years, I'd prefer to see us wait for once and see if he learns. If he fails again this season its a different matter. The only question mark I have is if people are not willing to move on from a poor season, if he doesn't have the fans onside it can be difficult here.

JK - nothing needs said <laugh>

    1st team squad

    Modibo Diakite
    Valentin Roberge
    Cabral
    Vito Mannone
    Jozy Altidore

    Not sure yet

    David Moberg Karlsson

    Development/Reserves

    El Hadji Ba
    Duncan Watmore

Ok, Westwood is getting the number one shirt, make no mistake about it. He's a fantastic keeper and we're all chuffed to bits he's decided to stay. Migs sale will be what made him stay, Might let it be known that Mig was 3rd choice, injuries got him in and he kept everyone out. Mannone has been signed as competition. If he shows he's good enough a place is there for him to win.

Now for Jozy, only a fool would judge him on what he did all those years ago as a kid at hull. When players leave the country time doesn't stand still for them, apparently he's a bit of a perfectionist which is typical of an american, sheer desire to be the best is a cracking attitude for a developing striker, He's worked on his movement, first touch, run timing, game reading and finishing, all his weakness' and by all accounts it's been reported he's improved beyond recognition. I trust our scouts.

Diakite or Roberge at CB? Or Cabral? Or two new signings at the same time?

This is where you're way off. Diakite or Roberge were brought in for free to replace Sex pest Bramble and kilgallon (would you have given them a new contract?). Both have come for free, on smaller wages and got to be better. JoS is our main CB at present and will probably be club captain. Wes Brown is fit! (tongue in cheek point) he's actually kicking a ball and playing competitive. I also expect a marquee cb to be signed. We're thin at the back, we need some numbers.

Oh and Cabral is a DMF mate, with bags of European football experience. Expect him to in and around the first team.

    Karlsson, Watmore, Ba

All likely to be developmental with Karlsson being the one who gets more 1st team training of the 3 initialy.

Gino Puruzzi has agreed terms, just needs to have his medical (first team squad) 3 millon
Giaccherini is flying in for terms and medical (first team squad) 6-8 million
Bid accepted for Huddlestone, terms and medical needed. (first team squad) 5 million
Panathinaikos winger Charis Mavrias has agreed terms, medical delayed as he picked up a knock, new medical date penciled in. (See Karlsson for squad role) 2m

of the four Giaccherini and Huddlestone could fall through, the other two are certain.

We've only let 4 leave so far (Sex Pest, kilgallon, Mig, and Elmo) MoN well and trulystripped the squad back and we've been so so thin. We need the numbers.

Hope that puts ya better in the picture. <ok>

You only have to look at AB's post. Tongue in cheek or not, this is still the prevalent feeling for many. We could start well and I don't think it will make a jot of difference. Some just don't want him here. Not sure how you get round that, we just love chopping and changing. Even Bobby had a minority against him in the end. The only one who never seemed to have anyone against him was KK. I don't think we're the most patient bunch - which sounds mad given the numbers we get after so many barren years trophy wise. Pards couldn't get more praise season before last, and couldn't get more stick last year. We're bi-polar. I blame the weather!

I don't think USA Internationals coming to the club would like a little wee of any kind over them.
