This might come as a shock to you but I would rather see eleven Englishmen (and that includes the likes of Strauss, Prior and Compton) winning or losing fair and square than have better players "engineered" into the team. I followed the game from about 1992 and enjoyed it just as much even when we were getting thumped by Aus.

Kinda already wanted Australia to win but after that moment I definitely want them to win now.

    Cheating, plain and simple.

I hate blatantly wrong decisions, Broad should have walked but it's the umpires job to spot those.

To paraphrase Gower, don't walk, just don't complain when you get a bad decision.

He was until his parents moved to England when he was 5.

Another problem I have with selecting foreigners is that it often results in English players being denied a chance by mediocre foreign players who are put into the team in order to "claim" them as England players. Who was that Aussie bowler picked for one game and never heard from again? Ridiculous decision to pick him. Give the young English talent a game when the series is won and a top player is injured.

Every run Broad scores must be like a kick in the baws.

Agar is 19.... George Dockerel is 22ish?

One of them was playing club cricket 2 months ago.... The other has been at it for 5 years.

Who is further on in their career now?

He's back with Ireland now. His slave masters released him and relinquished any claim on him. I included him in the non English England team.

He hit 96 odd in the game against the Netherlands last week.

It won't be long before we have our own Indian/Pakistani playing for us,it"s already having a healthy effect on the club scene.

Sure is. My mate plays in the Wild West and only got back in the team when recession hit and everyone ****ed off. A few good players remained he reckoned.

How many cricketers would have walked? Broad is not the first to stand his ground knowing he should be out. I wish he had though as it leaves a bad taste and could be the difference between win and lose.

    Adam Gilchrist.

It isn't just that he didn't walk, it was the face that you see on the "and not a single **** was given that day" photos.... That is irksome.

    Bairstow sorta walked too.

I know he had a reputation for walking but I've a vague memory that he didn't always, can't remember the specifics, probably 2005, maybe.

    Anyone who is still playing?

Now that I've had a few drinks and my mind is functioning correctly...

The Aussies can get to ****. Apart from Glichrist, none of them have ever been walkers, them making a big thing of this is a farce. They had two reviews to overturn bad decisions which they squandered. They've had a couple of decisions go their way in this game: Trott being given out was one, another 150 runs put on by Agar and Haddin after Agar should have been given out stumped was the other. England should have been out of sight in this game. Aussies = bad sportsmen. All cricketers = bad sportsmen. Like any other sport.

    Great game though.

Bairstow was on his way today. I can't think of too many other famous "walkers".

Tendulkar has walked. I can't remember if Jayawardene walked or just said he would walk if there was no doubt.

Kallis asks the fielders if they caught things cleanly. If they as yes, he walks.

    It certainly isn't the norm.
